Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new stand-alone dark college romance.

I’m out for revenge. After careful planning, I gave the man who messed with my family a taste of his own medicine. I thought it’d end there. It didn’t.

Landon King is a genius artist, a posh rich boy, and my worst nightmare. He’s decided that I’m the new addition to his chess game. Too bad for him, I’m no pawn.

If he hits, I hit back, twice as hard and with the same hostility. He says he’ll ruin me. Little does he know that ruination goes both ways.

This book can be listened to on its own, but for a better understanding of the world, you might want to start with God of Malice.

Steamy, dark and thrilling

I couldn’t wait to start this book once the audio hit my account. “God of Ruin” is a steamy, dark and thrilling romance that pulled me in with Landon and Mia’s cat and mouse attraction.

Mia is out for revenge and Landon is her target. Their schools are enemies and Mia is not afraid to get her hands dirty despite being a mute since the age of 8 when she and her sister were kidnapped. Landon is a classic sociopath who lacks empathy. Landon is intrigued by Mia and goes along with her games. But as the two tangle, their need to one up each other goes to unlikely attraction. But the monster that kidnapped Mia is still very much present and threatening her again.

Landon is a special kind of chaotic and I loved getting an insight into his mind. He had zero empathy and a beast within that had no problem being unleashed. The only thing that could tame him was Mia. Mia is a certified baddie and despite losing her voice, she commands respect and the room wherever she’s at. She stood toe to toe with Landon and never backed down. I loved their game of cat and mouse and despite how different they are, they truly worked. The plot twists we had with the monster that haunted Mia had my jaw dropping and I didn’t see it coming. The ending had me wanting more from this series and I can’t wait for the next book.

Shane East and MacKenzie Cartwright were phenomenal in their performances and brought this dark story to life. Shane went extra dark and growly to be the complex character that is Landon King. I loved MacKenzie as Mia and she brought all of Mia’s emotions to life beautifully.

Consistently Hits the Spot

Ms Rina it in the top ranks for me in this genre and she didn’t disappoint here. I always find the complaints annoying b/c it’s like, this material isn’t coming out of left field. What do you think you’re going to get when the author focuses on the anti-hero, villain, enemies to romance type books? If you’re not into it, don’t read it. This isn’t YA or fluffy. Rina is queen of this genre!

I enjoyed the progression of the series and continuing of the “story” that runs through all of the books in this series with the new and different angles.

Such Great Audio

Another amazing installment to the Legacy of Gods series. I wasn't sure how much I'd love Landon... But I actually ended up really enjoying him, even if he was a bit over the top insane. I've been waiting for Mia's story too, I love the mute and sign language representation she brings and she was so different from what I was expecting in all the best ways.

The audio was amazing. It's duet narration which is always a huge plus for me. Then Shane East and MacKenzie Cartwright did a phenomenal job voicing these characters. It's definitely one I'll be listening to again.

I was really, really surprised with the turn this story took at the end and how some of Mia's relationships were tested. The big baddy was also a surprise, but I'm not entirely sure we could have figured it out in our own tbh. I did love how it all went down with Landon and Mia though, especially the meet the parents bits.

I'm really excited for a couple of the upcoming Gods stories and can't wait to see what's next!

Dark and chaotic

God of Ruin is book #4 in Legacy of Gods series. This is a dark, enemies to lovers romance.

Mia is a tough heroine that takes no BS from those around her. Landon is the epitome of obsessed, anti hero. Their story was dark and a lot chaotic, but they seemed to be a good match for each other. Their book may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it.

Shane East and Mackenzie Cartwright were the Lan & Mia. They did a wonderful job narrating this book.

Possibly my favorite so far!

Mia plans to get revenge on Landon King for the injury he caused her brother Nikolai since he hasn't yet. Mia loathes Landon and wants nothing more than to give Landon what he deserves. Though she suffers from a panic disorder due to something that happened to her when she was just eight ears old and it nearly stops her plans.
Landon being a genius and a sculpting prodigy, it made him that much more dangerous and intriguing. Mia was the perfect fit for him as well, she is innocently kinky, scared yet also so brave, plus a submissive but able to stand up for herself.
The narrators were brilliant, Rina Kent is brilliant. I'm anxiously waiting for the next one already.

Amazing story!

There isn't a book or audiobook that Rina Kent writes that I don't love. From the moment I knew of Landon King I knew I need it his story and it was so much more than I was expecting, because I never expected Mia Sokolov.

Mia and Landon were so good together, imperfectly fitting so good. Landon knew how to manipulate situations on his favor, he thought he was superior than everyone else and pretty much he had a plan for everything until Mia showed up with all her fierceness, intelligent and beauty. She became his muse and he was unable to let her go.

I love Rina's brand of possessive, alpha, dominating men she writes, I think Landon went up the scale pretty high. But what I loved more about him was that through his hard sculpted exterior he was very caring for Mia and with no words but actions he showed her how much she meant for him.

This audiobook was fantastic once again having the perfect narrators who brought the intensity, passion and emotions from the story to live.

Landon Will Steal Your Heart

Mia is not the kind of girl that you mess with, but that's exactly what Landon has done. If you go after her family she's going after you. Unfortunately, her revenge plans don't go as planned as the guy she's after is nothing short of a psycho and now that she has caught his eye he has one plan in mind, to ruin her.

I was really excited to read this one because Mia in the previous books as a side character had been so intriguing. I was so eager to find out the reason she was mute, and I loved that she didn't let that keep her from being a tough little BA. Unfortunately, I didn't love Mia as much in this book. Her character folded pretty quickly under Landon's attention. She definitely personifies the expression "all bark and no bite". I was also admittedly underwhelmed by the explanation as to why she was mute and how that all evolved by the end.

Landon was exactly the unapologetic maniac we knew he was from the other books. I ended up actually empathizing with him a lot more once we got into his head and could see things from his mind. But I didn't completely understand his fascination with Mia to be honest even when seeing things from his POV.

I really enjoyed the narrators and felt they both did a fantastic job capturing the essence of these two very different characters. I only wish this had been just a little bit shorter as I found myself zoning in and out during certain parts.

PICK THIS UP

Excuse me while I melt all over the place.

Just go in blind. I did. Since I knew it was this author and I knew it’s this series with these characters there was no way I wasn’t going to absolutely love this book. And here we are. I LOVED this book so much. Mia and Landon (Lan) kept me in one hell of a death grip from beginning to end. I absolutely adored both of them. I’ve been so ever curious about the two of them since we were first introduced. Lan is a literal psycho and Mia is one fierce. I absolutely loved the chemistry, intensity, and interactions between the two of them. It was fiery, hot and all consuming! I had the pleasure of listening to it on audio and it was so damn good. Both Shane East & Mackenzie Cartwright did a fantastic job with the audio for this book. It really helped in playing this book like a movie in my head.

If you’re looking for something dark, mysterious, a little spooky and that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end then you’ve got to PICK THIS UP! Also that twist at the end?? NEVER saw that one coming.

Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

P.s. Make sure to check out the trigger warnings for this book before reading, there’s a lot!

So Good

Landon is a narcissistic psychopath with a genius IQ who thinks no he knows he’s gods gift to the world , he’s a walking red flag so of course you’re gonna fall for him . Mia well I expected more from her after reading the blurb I expected she would be at Landon’s level and although I loved her I wanted more from her. The narration was perfection Shane East & Mackenzie Cartwright brought this book to life.

So good!!

I really enjoyed God of Ruin and I loved these characters! Landon’s character was beautiful complicated and there were so many layers to him. I loved how he was a psychopath who only had eyes for Mia. Mia’s character left a little to be desired, but I loved how she influenced Landon.

The mystery, suspense, and intrigue had my attention throughout the audiobook. I liked the narration and Shane East is one of my favorite narrators but I felt like it was a little difficult to understand the him at times.

I loved it!

This is the fourth book in the Legacy Series, a steamy dark enemies to lovers romance. I love second generation series! Landon and Mia's story is entertaining, filled with passion, mystery, secrets, danger, and unpredictable twists and turns. Landon is dark, psycho, obsessive, possessive, dominant, and enigmatic. Mia is beautiful, smart, strong, and determined. They are opposites attract, and they complement each other. The world building is fascinating. The storyline is complex, and captivating. The supporting characters are great. I loved Nikolai (Mia's brother), Brandon (Landon's twin brother), and Mia's parents (Kyle and Rai). This is an excellent series. Shane East and Mackenzie Cartwright did an outstanding job bringing these characters, and this story to life. The duet narration is impeccable! Looking forward to listening to God of Fury (Nikolai and Brandon's story), the next book in the series. Rina Kent never disappoints!

Love!!

i am always excited when Rina releases a book and must read them immediately! I love her audios, especially when they are duet narration and Shane East is narrating.

Landon King could almost overtake Killian with his psychopathic tendencies. We love an obsessed psycho with stalker vibes, amd we got all that and more from Landon.

Mia, Lan's "little mouse" might be sekective mute from trauma from her childhood, but she was one brave warrior with a big attitude. I loved how much she loved her family and the lengths she would go to, to protect them.

Highly recommend this series!

So so good!

𝚁𝚒𝚗𝚊 𝙺𝚎𝚗𝚝 is once again ruining (see what I did there?) me for other books. I absolutely devoured listening to this one. It was a "once you start you can't stop" listen for me and I had it done in one day.

When I tell you that Landon + Mia were the ultimate characters, I mean it! From the chemistry that flows between them to the igniting of passion to the drama and the angst. All of it absolutely hooked me and didn't let me go! I loved getting to see some of the past come together with their story and it was just what I needed with a 𝚁𝚒𝚗𝚊 𝙺𝚎𝚗𝚝 book!

And let's just talk about 𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑒 𝐸𝑎𝑠𝑡 & 𝑀𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑛𝑧𝑖𝑒 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑤𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡. They are *👩🏻‍🍳💋* perfection! They nailed every single emotion and brought the banter, the darkness, the passion together for this incredible characters. I could listen to them forever!

If you love a beautifully written, magnificently narrated, captivating storyline, then grab this one up. It will consume you. It will twist you up. It will, simply put, ruin you! Don't miss it!

Stellar Duet Narration!

As someone who hasn't read any other RK books except for this series, with each book I really have no clue what to expect. But regardless, this series has me firmly locked in its clutches! I am always on the hook for what is going to happen next in the plot, but unfortunately, this book does not really progress the overarching plot of the series whatsoever. Instead, it focuses more on the development and progression of the Lan/Mia relationship, which is enjoyable but it is good to know going in that we aren't getting the same style of storytelling as we got with the first 3 books. Instead, we get loads of character development, especially for Landon who is probably the *MOST* unlikeable MMC in this series so far at the start but is very much improved by the end. And I also loved every single scene where Mia stood up for herself against Landon, as well as the other clowns in this world that she has to deal with (aka Jeremy, Kill, and Niko).

That being said, the duet narration for this book was off-the-charts amazing! If I could give it 10 stars I would! Shane & Mackenzie really went above and beyond in bringing Landon and Mia to life.

Plus we get so many awesome Niko/Bran crumbs I was kicking my feet at every single one!

Well damn 🫠🫠

I’m at a loss for words. I need to listen again because once is not enough. I might be bias because I love a duet narration and Shane has one of those voices 🫢 but if you’re considering this book you need this audio.

Dark College Romance

God of Ruin by Rina Kent is a dark college romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Shane East and Mackenzie Cartwright. This is the fourth book in the Legacy of Gods series and can be read as a standalone.

Rina is an amazing writer! She always pulls me into the story and makes me fall in love with the characters. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Mia and Landon. Their relationship is messy, but I couldn't help but root for them.

I can't wait for the next book in the series God of Fury to be released on December 6, 2023 so I can get Nikolai and Brandon's story.

Shane and Mackenzie did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, college romances, enemies to lovers romances, or mafia romances.

Dark and Twisted!

I love falling back into the mind of Rina Kent. Her books always engage me, not only to love, but to think my way through the story and understand the complex workings of these families! This book features Mia and Landon, and what a story they have! Mia suffered a traumatic incident as a child leaving her mute. People avoid her, either not able to sign or are uncomfortable at the fact that communication is difficult. This did not stop Landon. The incredibly smart and talented artist, his obsession with Mia has made him a bit crazy. So much so that he will do anything to keep her attention, and believe me, it's not the nicest of ways. But Mia begins to crave the attention, bad or good, Landon is attentive, even sweet at times through the madness. Mia is outwardly strong, and makes herself heard no matter the situation, always standing up for herself which fed into Landon's infatuation. But he is creeping into dangerous territory as he probes into her past, and between his adversaries(including Mia's brother) and the unknown, there is something brewing. Kent pulled me in and kept me riveted as this all played out. I love the fact Mia and Landon are both twins, how different lives run parallel and the twisted plots that are derived throughout the story. I loved every minute of it.

Shane East and Mackenzie Cartwright are the storytellers and they bring a darkness and light to this story that only these two could muster! East is phenomenal as all the male characters, from Landon's darkness to Brandon's empathy. Every one of his accents, spot on, every one! Cartwright gives a fantastic performance as Mia and Maya, keeping the girls close yet distant, a whole in Mia as she begins to heal. These two made magic out of this book!

I enjoyed this. There's mo denying that, I enjoyed this entire series so far. But. And there's a big but this installment of the Legacy of God's series is an awful like the previous ones. Also that side story..it simply couldn't ever be me. And it soured the end of the book for me.

Mia and Landon💕

I totally swooned on this one.
Landon was quite a surprise for me after reading Rina Kent’s other 3 books. Who would have thought I would love Landon’s character.
Definitely would recommend this book. Will totally be listening to this one again
Now I must listen to Rina’s other books in audible. ❤️
