Girl In Ice made me feel Warm

Fascinating and beautiful story. The performance was excellent. Generally I am not a fan of sci fi but I actually believed that this story if not happening now, will happen one day soon.

Very well written, and the performance was one of the best I have ever heard.

Girl in Ice -interesting and overwrought

The protagonist of Girl in Ice is a neurotic mess, even though she finally pulls it together after 400+ pages. The narrator portrays this with very fast, anxious delivery — from start to finish, with no variation. I had to slow down the reading to .8 to make it listenable. Otherwise the storyline is interesting and provides what seems to be a fairly accurate portrayal of the isolated lives of scientists in the Arctic.

Dark and depressing

Certainly there were insightful moments - but the author so successfully created an ominous and duplicitous environment that was inescapable - she took the reader down with the characters. That may be exactly what some reader’s are looking for - but that wasn’t what I anticipated when I read the description. The narrator was quite good in the role.

Ice girl

Kept my interest. I could relate the characters. It was a quick read. Gave me some thing to think about.

Not the Best

The story and the main character were weak; frustratingly so, at times. Was hoping it would be more exciting. Loose ends regarding other characters.

So much drama!

I certainly listened to the end; however it became one quick unbelievable drama after another..

Chillingly engrossing

My first Ferencik book and it blew me away. While wonderfully written, I’m still not sure how the girl in ice survived her icy grave. However, all the twists and turns throughout the novel made this book a real page turner. Two brave heroines, the frozen beautiful allure of Greenland will keep you captivated.

Good Story!

The Plot was unique and kept you in suspense. The characters wete well developed and certainly relatable.
