Best audiobook I’ve listened to in forever

A story full of mysteries and surprises, with that great Scandinavian atmosphere and style. Could not be narrated better. Highly recommend!

Took me a few chapters..,

I had to stay with this book. The first few chapters did not immediately engage me, but I’m glad I stayed with it. It’s a well tall story, although I think the ending dragged out a bit.

Interesting and captivating.

It did grip me from the very start. This murder mystery was well written and thought provoking. A bit slow in some areas but the end was well put together.

Scandanavian almost noir.

Fun read. Will or should be a film. Twisty plot and a fun listen by a wintry fire.

Good listen

Ambitious book. There's character development, a more complex story line and the narrator makes it all work. But as a painting can be overworked and a bit contrived, found the beginning to be so, hence story a bit tedious but picked up in the middle to a more spritely end that was satisfying.
