Publisher's Summary

There are all kinds of legends about the forests of Central Pennsylvania, and in this sequel to Dark Hollow, the truth about those legends is finally revealed.

Halloween is coming, and a new haunted attraction is open for business in LeHorn's Hollow. Folks will come from miles around to walk down the spooky trail and get scared witless. But there's one thing the owners of the ghost walk haven't counted on. There really is something waiting in the woods - a vast, ancient evil whose hunger threatens to consume all life on Earth. Soon, the unsuspecting customers will pay their money and get in line...to die. And only one man, occult detective Levi Stoltzfus, can save them and stop the evil before it is unleashed.

A must listen

Excellent story. Chet Williamson did an excellent job bringing these characters to life. I read this book about ten years ago, give or take, and I am so executed that Keene's books are getting the audiobook versions they need.

awesome book

Mr. Keene is a master story teller. I'd easily place him above King and Koontz. He writes what haunts us all. The dark side of human fears. When will Hollywood notice him and turn Dark Hollow and Ghost Walk into movies? Hopefully I live to see it!

Get beyond the beginning you’ll be glad you did.

The beginning dragged out with a lot of what authors and critics call information dumps. However after you become more invested in the characters you find yourself moving forward without pause. The narrator was spot on, knew the characters and how to play them well. Well worth a listen!

Story was okay but the narration, not so much.

Would you try another book from Brian Keene and/or Chet Williamson?

The story was okay but Ol' Chet here to me ruined the story. I couldn't make it through the entire book and I love Brian Keene's novels but to me, This narrator sucked. Don't bother wasting your money or Credit on it. I really really hope that Chet doesn't narrate The Conqueror Worms cause that one is my all time favorite Brian Keene book.

Lean horror

In Mr. Keene's style, a lean, fast read/moving horror story. Not a lot of filler. Just good old fashion B-movie horror. Love it.

Good but underwhelming

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The sense of growing dread was well done, and the story was interesting. I think that it did drag on a bit and took awhile to get to the point, and when it did, it was over a little too quickly. Not my favorite of Keene’s work, but solid. If you like Keene, you’ll like this. A Gathering of Crows is better!

It's about God's Warrior

This book started off good but then turned to a religious theme. A former Amish man doing God's work fighting against interdimensional evil. Long spate about the Bible not being real (although I have to say what the author says does kinda make sense) and using some other book written in a language not from Earth. Yet, this guy can still read the book. To be fair, I didn't finish the book. It could have gotten awesomely better, but I seriously doubt it. Some of the narrator's voices were good but most of the time he sounded wooden, as if he was reading directly from a script, which I guess he was.

Disappointing

Falls short of the Prequel. My least favorite Keene story. Still good though, I was dissatisfied with the very end.

A bit scary

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an unbiased review. I have listened to this twice now, with enough time that I remembered the general plot but forgot the writing style and specific details . Once again Brian Keene and narrator Chet Williamson drew me into this supernatural horror story. There were times I wanted to set it down for a break but then picked it right up again because I didn’t remember how it ended. Definitely a good book’

Fun Modern Horror Story with Excellent Narration

Ghost Walk is certainly not Brian Keene's best book but it's definitely worth a listen if you're after a fun, fast-paced horror story with interesting characters.
Chet Williamson's narration is as classy as always. It's a pleasure to listen to him tell stories.
A quality presentation from Crossroad Press.
Recommended.
