Another wonderful listen

I'm loving this series. Peter asks Jolene to be his date for the policeman's ball for a night of fun, The night isn't quite the fairytale that she'd hoped for as individuals from her past keep popping up and she has yet to divulge all of her secrets to Peter. Will the lovable police officer be able to accept her for who she really is? Jolene and Daisy's snarky banter is always good for a laugh as well.

A policemen's ball, a death, a casino and more

I love this series. Erin weaves a very compelling story as a fallen from grace lawyer now in a magical slum becomes a police consultant. It has the best parts of murder mysteries mixed with the best parts of a magical world. As a recent law grad, I also love the legal references. This mystery has a good hook and keeps you guessing along the way as interesting people are introduced. The story even gets around the gritty downside of audio mysteries by having its own local sets of curses so that profanity isn't off putting or even horrible. There is no traditional profanity and even my kids love to hear the story about Joleen :)

I love the investigation into the death of a rival officer. Peter puts his best foot forward to deal with the problems caused by an officer's death.

Lies are catching up with Jolene

Did I say I love these books? Shell yes, I did. Jolene and Peter are off to the policeman's ball in this book and it's a date. Thank goodness, it's a masquerade, because Jolene runs into her former fiance, former boss, and the 'beach' her cursed her. The winner of the policeman's award of the year never makes it to the podium to accept because he's being fished out of the sea. Jolene and Peter start to investigate but run into trouble with their relationship (personal and professional) because she is lying about a number of things which, Daisy, the lie-sniffing dog continues to rat her out. Speaking of rats, Ludoff (sp?) the head shifter has finally gotten wind of Jolene working with the police and threatens Peter if she doesn't help him. What will she do? Is it time to come clean with Peter? You'll have to listen to it to find out. I can't wait to read #4.

Another great book

The story was easy, light and very enjoyable, the narrator does a great job and her voices for the characters was really good. I highly recommend this series and look forward to the next book.

Another Murder Solved

This series takes place in a unique paranormal world. The author has created an interesting world, where shifters and normal humans all have magic. A murder has taken place and a shifter helps a magical human policeman and his lie detecting dog find the guilty person.

So great!!

Another great story in the magic market series! Love Jolene and her budding relationship with Peter and even Daisy! The imagery is so great you feel like you are there! Great story and def not what I expected!

Game of Bones is the third book in the Magic Market paranormal cozy mystery series.
This series gets better and better. We learn so much more about Jolene and her life before her fall.
Jolene has grown as a person since she lost her job as a lawyer, lost her magic powers and moved back to the Dark Moon District.
Looking forward to see if her relationship with Peter blossoms or wilts. Will Peter ever know the full truth? Tune in to find out.

unlikely murders and some closure

ahh we get some Closure for jolene and yet more mysteries to solve all i can say the done who done surprised me laot

dangerous ball

Imogen is going to the Police ball with Peter and she is very excited. But then, a murder happens and Peter and Jolene will be mixed in a very dangerous position and their lives will be in the line while they try to find the perpetrator, and the will need each other. Will Jolene finally trust Peter enough to tell him her Secret? Great story and the audiobook is awesome
