I read this as part of my Melanie Harlow backlist blackout. My goal is to read all of her books!

I enjoyed this story about Coco and Nick. I LOVED Vanessa Edwin's narration. Her man-voice is HOT!
Second chance trope isn't my favorite to read, but I was able to enjoy this more because I have read Taste (which is Nick and Coco's sons story). So I ended up seeing so many similarities between father and son.
I do find myself missing reading things from the MMC POV. Melanie always makes it so fun to be in their heads.
I'm so glad though that this story was converted to audio.

Delightfully Satisfying

I love the delicious way she loves her indulgences and loves her food and how he loves her for that and adores her curves. I also love the healing of old wounds and a love that never died between them.

Obsessed

I absolutely LOVE all of Melanie’s work. There is not one book I haven’t loved!

Great ending to this series and I love following them in later books. Glad I came back and started from the beginning. Melanie is one of my new favorite authors.

I loved this story line. makes you believe in forever and fate. Really enjoyed the reader, her voice fit perfectly.

The storyline was great, Nick was a funny Hot book boyfriend, I'm not a fan of Cheaters in any storyline but I get the concept of it. The thing I struggled with finishing this book was I didn't care for Coco, she was a b**** from the get go, sure I could understand her reasoning in the beginning, but everytime Nick tried to talk, apologize, explain, her attitude of just dealing with him for the hot sex then cutting him down really turned me off to her shitty attitude. The fact that he kept trying and even his little slip ups didn't deserve her hateful attitude every time he tried to tell her his feelings bam sucker punch. Her total 180 at the end gave me whiplash. I took one star just because of her character I liked Nick, the story itself, and the heat between the two was on fire 🔥. I also like Vanessa. Edwin, she has a good male voice too even though it it had a male narrator it would be awesome as well.

Wish i could get my money back

I started with the Next generation series since this was the first i have ever listened to anything by Melanie Harlow. I never even read a book by her. Needless to say i really liked that series so i bought this book bc it was the prequel and thought it would be just as good. Not at all 😩 the Narrator is horrible!! It ruins the book for me. And the book is already slow but i thought i could power thru it. Absolutely not. It took me 2 days to get 2 hrs thru it before i called it quits. I wanted to return it and it wouldn’t let me. So very disappointed. I screenshot the Narrator to make sure i never listen to a book read by this person. So disgusted i wasted my money. The sad part is i bought both Frenched and Forked at the same time figuring I couldn’t go wrong.
