He’s her billionaire boss. The arrogant grump who shouldn’t even know she exists. And the man who just gave her an offer I can’t refuse.

Nikki Jordan needed a job. Rome Blakely needed a date—someone polished, convincing, and willing to keep his overbearing family off his back at every stuffy event on his calendar. It's a business transaction. Clean, professional, temporary.

Except nothing about Rome Blakely is clean or simple, and Nikki has never been great at keeping things professional.

She's supposed to smile on his arm, sell the story, and collect her paycheck. He's supposed to stay cold, controlled, and completely unavailable. They have an arrangement. A contract. Boundaries.

They ignore all of them.

Because the more time she spends in his world — the stolen glances, the hands that linger too long, the moments that feel dangerously real — the harder it becomes to remember this was never supposed to mean anything.

And then Nikki discovers their very fake relationship has produced one very real, very unexpected consequence.

I’ve loved every book in this series and this one is no exception! The characters are fantastic and the narrators do an excellent job bringing them to life! The storyline is really great, and I love that we see snippets of other characters from the series in here too (but don’t worry if you haven’t read the rest, you won’t feel lost at all)! The spicy bits are pretty good as well! I also like that the angst isn’t as drawn out as some of the other books in this series - the way that part is resolved is a neat twist as well! So overall I definitely recommend this one as well as the whole series (they’re all great standalones tho)!

Another great one!
