Before dropping some hints about what is to come in this amazing and very sparkly first volume, those who have no clue who I am...I’d suggest you go back and listen to the previous series that is graciously named after my Agency, otherwise... Well, frankly, you will be very confused. If confused is your way of life...carry on, I shall not judge!

Now, the story picks up months after the end of The Undead Detective Agency, and my crew is dealing with the aftermath of...well, you know what. So, of course, I, the loving, amazing boss that I am, decided that it was time for a vacation—a fun duck-related vacation. And after hinting at resorting to possible friendnapping, I got my way!

But can I, Octavius, have a single day off without someone dying?! No, apparently, I cannot! So, cue multiple murders, long-time grudges, a baffling level of incompetence, and me facing down the ultimate enemy in a battle of wits...and glitter. What more is there to say besides...let the chaos begin...again!

AMAZING 😍😍

folly of incompetence along with the under detective agency series has been amazing so far I can’t wait for the next book. I love how all the characters work together in every book and none of them are forgotten or never mentioned. It’s a wonderful mix of politics and humor and not really scary but you do get worried at some parts throughout the series and you get angry and you can cry, but ultimately this series is a breath of fresh air by bringing serious topics into something serious. It also creates a wonderful world where a paranormal and humans can exist together.

Vacation Time.

Octavius takes Turney, Scarlett, Min-Ji and Theo on a vacation at a duck themed park, but ends up with dead people popping up. Someone is trying to kill Octavius. Of course the gang figures it out and captures the killer.

I really loved this book, and the audio made it even better!

Octavius’s newest hyper-fixation

I love being back with this crew. They’re as silly and ridiculous as usual. Octavius finds a way to mix business with pleasure and drag everyone else into trouble, only this time it involves an excessively themed resort and convention.

The narration is a good balance of differing voices without overacting which I appreciate. I would recommend reading the original series first.

Loved it

I loved this book. Lance West's voice really brings this story to life. Octavius Evander and his friends are back. After dealing with some unpleasant events what else is there to do but go on vacation to a duck-themed adventure park? What could possibly go wrong?

They're Baaaack!

It's great to be back with this group and in this world. It is so much fun to listen to with a great world filled with fun a quirky characters. While not 100% necessary to read the original series, I recommend it since there might be a lot of background confusion otherwise. I can't wait for more books and audiobooks in this series and by this author.

Lance West performed this narration so well. The characters were truly brough to life.
