Mafia Romance Masterfully Done! Exceptional 🎧📚🎧

Maggie Cole blows me away with another amazing dark Mafia romance novel, the fifth and book in her “Mafia Wars New York” series. I would say that she saved the best for last but that would not do justice for the first four book books in the series because they were all just as amazing. The world building and character development as been phenomenal even with characters crossing over from her first “Mafia Wars”. I hope this is not the last we see of these characters and/or this Mafia world she created. This book is Luca Marino and Chanel Moulin’s story and wow, what a story it is, it drew me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time. Chanel’s dad works for the Marino family, that got her the in with Massimo and the job as his fight attendant for when he travelled. Sleeping with the enemy, Luca, who works for the Abruzzos was bad enough, but having his baby makes it even worse. She will never reveal who the father is and despite her feelings for Luca, a relationship will never happen. Luca had it bad for Chanel and he could not stay away, but working for the Abruzzos is a dangerous job, it makes him do things he hates to do but his position is serving a purpose and he is on a mission to complete it to the end. It was heartbreaking to watch these two live lives without each other, if Chanel only knew who he really was and if Luca could only tell her life would have been different for them both and their daughter, too. Their story is over the years, so we get a glimpse of events that occurred in earlier books but from a different perspective, we also see characters from those books as well, including Massimo and Chanel’s best friend, Pina. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a brilliantly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, and a steamy romance. Maggie Cole, thank you for another exceptional story, series and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Stephanie Németh-Parker and Zachary Johnson were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited that character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Németh-Parker played Chanel with perfection, her accent was fabulous and she grasped every side of her personality. Johnson nailed it as Luca and was great with the accents, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These mega talented narrators are entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists, their performance enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

This book exceeded my expectations and completely flipped what I thought Chanel and Luca were all about as individuals. Love both of these characters so much and their chemistry is fire!! Such an amazing book about love and everything they had to overcome to capture it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect Ending

Flawed is the last book in the MWNY series and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Luca and Chanel's story is fast paced and full of emotion. Luca and Chanel had so much passion and their chemistry was amazing. My heart broke for them as timing never seemed to be on their side. Their story is full of secrets, lies, danger and revenge. After everything they went through I'm glad they were able to find their HEA. Amazing story and the perfect way to end the series!!.
Stephanie Németh-Parker and Zachary Johnson were absolutely amazing. They were the perfect pair to bring Luca and Chanel to life. Their accents were great as they set the perfect tone to capture the emotions of the characters throughout this story. I loved it!

Perfect ending to an amazing series

Flawed is the story of Chanel Moulin and Luca Marino. They had a one night experience that resulted in a very unexpected pregnancy. She decided to keep the pregnancy (and later on her daughter) from Luca because she believed that he belonged to the family that is the enemy of her employer’s the Marino family. It is partially true because he works for the Abruzzo family undercover and led her to believe he belongs to that family. This story was full of steam, emotions, and laughter. Once you start reading you won’t be able able to stop. This is definitely emotional roller coaster worth getting on to see where it ends up. Maggie definitely knew how to end this series!!! And she definitely left questions unanswered which could lead to the next series. I can’t wait to read what Maggie comes up with next!! ❤️❤️❤️

Age Gap Mafia Romance

Flawed by Maggie Cole is an age gap mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephanie Németh-Parker and Zachary Johnson. This is the fifth and final book in the Mafia Wars New York series.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the chemistry between Luca and Chanel. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Zachary and Stephanie did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, accidental pregnancy romances, forbidden romances, age gap romances, or romantic suspense.

Great read.

Only thing I didn't like is the timeline in this book. it's a really great read and I would recommend it to anyone.

Hot!!!

I wanted this couple back together so bad. I love that there were obstacles in their way and it makes the wait worth it. Easy but satisfying read.

Flawed is a time-lapse marvel!

Flawed is a time-lapse marvel! Which leads you on a moving journey of Luca and Chanel’s life. That can likely be described as pure fate with a twist of sorts.


The audiobook had me hooked and wanting more.

Mixed feelings

I always enjoyed Maggie's stories but unfortunately this one was my least favorite in all Mafia Wars. I enjoyed the story line, the spice, the age gap what kinda irritated me was the miscommunication, the childish behavior of the female character....I get it the whole being young but the whole thinking the guy was not a bad guy but still not telling him about the baby not until later.....much later and that really bother me because to me she wasted soo much time keeping a secret and not giving her daughter a family just because she was scared but not scared enough to have sex with the guy 🙄
I enjoyed some parts and others were really frustrated. Overall was a good book I just was running out of patience with Chanel.
Now the narration was fantastic. Both Stephanie and Zachary were really good bringing this book to life specially when some of the characters have accents.
I would  still recommend this book because even if I was frustrated in some parts it delivers feeling. It brought me into the story and I was invested and that's why I gave the story a 4 stars.

Explosive Conclusion to the Series!

This is the fifth book, and the final installment in Mafia Wars New York series, a Dark Mafia Romance. I loved it! This is my favorite book in the series. Chanel and Luca's forbidden love story, and age gap romance, is enthralling! This is a gripping accidental pregnancy and secret baby romance. Chanel is such a wonderful character, beautiful, kind, smart, and strong. Luca is very handsome, powerful, supportive, and caring. They are so perfect together! The world building is breathtakingly fascinating. There is a lot going on in this story. The cast of supporting characters is fantastic. I loved to see again the characters from the first books in the series. This is an explosive conclusion to this amazing series! Stephanie Németh-Parker and Zachary Johnson did a fantastic job with the narration, all the voices, and the accents. They are perfect as Chanel and Luca. The audio quality is impeccable. This is an amazing team author/narrators. I enjoyed it. I highly recommend this series.
