Publisher's Summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author

Vin (aka Flame) can't believe he's in yet another holding cell. Stupid earthlings wouldn't know fun if it bit them in the hindquarters. Speaking of fun, the hot little number who claims she's a guard at the jail has been making his body respond in ways he's very happy about. If only she'd get on board with the plan and help him escape back to his ship. First, she'd have to believe he's an alien. Right now, she's taken to thinking he's crazy.

A Qurilixen World novella.

The story was a cute read about aliens trying to find love in the city that never sleeps. The meeting was cute and the concept was unique to me.

Fun Read

The brothers come to earth for a vacation, some fun and to find mates to take back home. This is Flame’s story and he’s really more interested in finding a great idea and some ice cream. Fun story line and likable characters. Easy read and works more or less as a standalone but he also has three brothers with stories that are fun too.

Flame and Angela

Kal (Spark), Vin (Flame), and Sev (Blaze) have come to Earth for fun and a vacation. They are supposed to be looking for mates. Flame would really like to find a business idea that he could take back to his planet so he can stop working the mines. Poor Flame is addicted to ice cream and is arrested for raising a ruckus in the ice cream parlor. Here is where he meets Angela, a security guard at the hotel. Even in these circumstances, this is a case of love at first sight. Angela is hard-working and dedicated to her mother, who is in a care facility. She is patient and kind to Flame while he is in custody, a lot more than his brothers when they pick him up. This is a light-hearted story with lots of fun, but some serious spots as well. Flame and Angela want to be together, but she needs to stay on Earth for her mother. Will they be able to work things out so that they can stay together? Cute story, great characters, and solid entertaining narration.

Flame!

This is a fun and entertaining short and quick read/listen. This is the second story in the "Galaxy Mail Order Brides" story. The story is about Vin and Angela. He has not been on earth long but develops an interesting addiction and ends up in prison. He meets Angela and starts having a reaction to her. This is an interesting story with some emotional bits. I like these two and the chemistry between them. The narrator did a good job as well.

Loves ice cream, looking for love

Not excited about the female narrator, but the second story in the series is another cute one. Flame is like a five-year-old on a sugar high after he discovers ice cream. When the store worker doesn't fill his order fast enough (probably never had anyone order multiple tubs of ice cream before) he takes matters, or scoops, in his own hands. Of course, being an alien, he doesn't understand what is going on when the cops show up. He does shift his attention from the ice cream to the female officer who is the first human woman who has interested him. The next thing he knows he is locked in a tiny room with bars. Hmmm. His brother shows up to break him out, but then he has to go on a search to find his woman again.

Makes you want to find your own crazy alien lover, or at least go to Vegas for a week. I received a free copy of this audiobook via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What Happens in Vegas

Oh wow, only in Vegas could you meet your soulmate in such a crazy way and still have it work out. Although ice cream as a hard core drug isn’t that far fetched. Vin and Angela’s story has that mad-campy feel where everything is surreal and sweet. I loved Vin’s innocent outlook on the world, and how his simple way of looking at life might be the best. Kylie Stewart does another phenomenal job of narrating this story, creating a fun and funny listen.

Vin and Angela

Story: Vin (Flame) and his brothers have come to Las Vegas for a vacation courtesy of Galaxy Brides - they're supposed to be looking for mates and giving the company promotional reviews. Angela is a police officer who's called on to arrest Vin when he's misappropriating ice cream - he has an addiction to the sugary treat that needs to be fed. Being from another planet, Vin misreads the situation and thinks that Angela is actually trying to date him. Needless to say, there’s a bit of humorous miscommunications and when Vin's true identity is exposed, Angela thinks she must be losing it. Vin and Angela develop feelings for one another, but they’ll have to deal other aliens, her mother's situation, Galaxy Brides, and more before they reach their HEA. The story has some funny moments and is a much lighter read than some of the author's works. It doesn’t feel as well developed as some of the other works in the Qurilixen world.

Audio: The narrator did an okay job. There were some awkward timings that made some sentences feel robot like in their delivery. Some of the characters voices just didn’t resonate well with me.

Fun short story!

The story was sweet and Vin was fun, worldly and strong mixed with a sense of earnest innocence. I really enjoyed the honour woven through - especially Vins his ice cream addiction and the brotherly ribbing.
Honestly I much prefer Michelle Pillows full novels, I love her Qurilixen series - but this novella was great as a short fun story to listen to in the car.

The perfect distraction for long drives.

I absolutely loved Vin and Angela's story. I couldn't stop laughing at his ice-cream antics. But when this guy decides he loves someone, he goes all out to provide for her and those she cares for. A great listen.

funny story

Flame comes to earth to have some fun and meet some girls. He tastes Ice cream for the first time and finds himself addicted to it. He is arrested by Angela. this is a lovely story. Flame is so naive about Earth and it's customs. I enjoyed this story and look forward to listening more in this series.

Another Entertaining Adventure

I love the Galaxy Mail Order bride stories. They are short entertaining novellas that have a real good feel to them. Flame meets Angela whilst experiencing a bit of a sugar rush from eating too much ice cream at the Ice Cream parlour and he ends up getting arrested. These books are so much fun and Kylie Stewart narrates this perfectly. If you are looking for some light hearted romance this is the book you!

I want someone like Flame!

This book is like a look at Earth from the outside. He knows but doesn't know about Earth. He is ready to leave, but falls in love with the planet. He is so funny and yet strong. I loved this book to the point of reading it twice.

Short and sweet

Flame is a cute paranormal alien short romance story. Flame is an interesting character whose period talk had me smiling. His attraction to the mall cop is cute and the insightful romantic gesture at the end had me sighing. The narrator did a great job. Oh this is crazy fun!🥰🤪🤣

“Flame,” by Michelle M. Pillow was such a fun story. The author shows us a hilarious and very plausible picture of an alien visiting Los Vegas and trying to fit in. The three guys, brothers, and cousins are on a vacation. Although the Galaxy Brides corporation is a big part of the Dragon Lord series that is about all the two series have in common. The clever premise that Galaxy Brides wants to promote bringing potential grooms to earth to find their brides.
The Galaxy Brides, the company providing the transportation and lodging, thinks they are looking for brides, however, they have no intention to marry, until they meet the ladies of earth; three special ladies. As in the first book Spark, there is a lot of numerous and crazy situations between the miscommunications of the aliens trying to fit into this world, compounded by the fact that Galaxy Brides decided that Las Vegas would be a crazy enough place to bring the aliens where everyone is a bit "different".
Flame (aka) Vin Glarkenbauer didn't know about ice cream and became instantly addicted. So what does he do? He tries to get more. However, he doesn't realize his behaviour makes him look deranged. That's about the time the mall cop shows up with a trainee in tow. Angela Borden is that trainee. The only thing more addicting to Flame than Sugar is Angela. He knows she is meant for him and will not rest until he finds her again. Vin (Flame) is naive when it comes to Earth Culture. Angela is someone you love to be around. She cares about people infinitesimally and she especially loves and cares for her Mother. This is a pretty steamy novella, Vin and Angela light up the pages! Highly recommended, Ms. Pillow’s books are fun, with action, humour, and sexy aliens! 🥰🤪🤣
