Publisher's Summary

In the final audiobook in the number one New York Times best-selling Three Dark Crowns series, an all-out war is brewing - one that will pit sister against sister and dead against undead.

After the grim confrontation with Queen Katharine, the rebellion lies in tatters. Jules’ legion curse has been unbound, and it is up to Arsinoe to find a cure, even as the responsibility of stopping the ravaging mist lies heavy on her shoulders and her shoulders alone. Mirabella has disappeared.

Katharine’s reign remains intact - for now. When Mirabella arrives, seemingly under a banner of truce, Katharine begins to yearn for the closeness that Mirabella and Arsinoe share. But as the two circle each other, the dead queens hiss caution - Mirabella is not to be trusted.

In this conclusion to the Three Dark Crowns series, three sisters will rise to fight as the secrets of Fennbirn’s history are laid bare. Allegiances will shift. Bonds will be tested. But the fate of the island lies in the hands of its queens. It always has.

WHAT A LETDOWN

I loved this series SO MUCH. Never been more disappointed in an ending. I wish series like these came with a disclaimer so I would’ve never read them. I went from sad to annoyed to straight up angry throughout this book. I love this author but man I’m still mad about this!

Very good trilogy and the story kept my interest.

Loved it so much I struggled not to listen to it all night and day. Any time I had the chance I was listening to this riveting story.

Disappointing Ending

There were so many intriguing build-ups in the previous books that led to nothing. It fell flat at the end and was overall dissatisfying. In all honestly at least three of the side stories could have been eliminated and this entire series could have been covered in two books.

Not At All Whar I Was Expecting

Of the books in the series, it definitely was not my favorite. The whole story-telling seemed to shift with this book and it did not seem to fit with the way the other stories were told. This book was much darker and quite honestly a little disappointing with how hurried wrapping up the story lines felt. I expected more from the last book in the series and am left feeling just okay rather than some other stronger emotion (like happy with the ending or sad that it ended).

this is the first series I have listened too that keeps the same narrater threw all of the books. the author could have made each book a lot longer however. all of here books were kind of short but she is a pretty decent wrighter.

one of the good YA of 2019

Great story.and as good as previous books in the series.

The negative: honestly there were some gaps in the story and some questions that never got answered, but over all the book concluded decently.
