Matthew's delivers knowledge again.

Listened while working, but what I missed is why ill listen probalby 2 more times. Mike already changed my life with BLS and has once again helped give me the tools to be better. like everyone that wants to stay fit, we are always looking at new supplements. Now I have the ability to make my own decision on the scientific findings of them. Thank you both Mike and James.

Great Basic introduction…

Kudos to the authors. I’ve spent decades in science and educating students in research and literature. I would definitely recommend this book for any beginner or interested lay person. Very simple without being simplistic; accurate without being arid, and useful without being universalistic. The bonus material is wonderful, too.

if you're looking for something more on the research behind fitness and how it's done, then this is a good place to grasp that overall understanding.

Great read for understanding scientific studies

This is not a book about fitness itself, but a book about how scientific studies on fitness is conducted. So if your goal is to learn how to better interpret peer-reviewed studies and do better research for yourself, you will be happy with your purchase!

An absolute waste of time.

Such an absolute waste of time I went out of my way to delete it from my library completely (dunno why amazon makes it so hard to do so)

I was expecting real science not just toddler level explanation of the scientific process.

I would give it less than zero stars if I could.

Its fine if you know nothing about supps and science research.
I was let down.
But if you knew nothing of how researchers work. This would help.

Interesting and Informative

If you have an inquisitive mind, you will really enjoy this audio book. It’s interesting how our opinions about just about everything can be shaped by what we hear...and we often take for granted that what we hear, from all forms of media, is gospel. This book breaks all that down and instructs you how to use a more discerning eye (and ear).
