AI narrative

Story was good but AI narration is awful. No inflections whatsoever. Flat and hard to listen to.

Great story, terrible AI narrator and lazy/incompetent editors!

I'm thru the 1stntwo books and am enjoying the story. However the AI narrator is horrid!

Even basic things like 45 cal is being read as 45 calories not to mention other acronyms and people's names! Editors could have fixed it with a few hours work.

The AI voice is just gawd awful for audiobooks

the voice is cool because we can get more audiobooks, but the big issue is there is no emotion, no annunciation, no personal connections from reader to listener. everything is so one tone. you wouldn't listen to an ad that has ai, why would you pay for a book to do so.

Needed a good editor

Good story and characters. I'm having vision problems, and welcomed the chance to try an AI narrator. I was surprised at how listenable this was. But a sharper editor could have caught the mispronunciations in the first book so they wouldn't have been repeated throughout. (mostly in gun descriptions such as 30 dash zero 6 instead of 30 aught six, and cal read as calories instead of cartridge). Also "Hell of a .. " was pronounced hell- loffa. Minor error, but repeated inn all volumes.

Seems like a great story, AI narration is horrible!

JT has written these books very well, the story is great. I decided to try the audiobook and was extremely let down. The story is still great but the AI narration is so dry and flat it’s unbearable and cant finish it! Hopefully one day these books will get a proper narrator and AI can stay out of doing things best left to real people.
