I loved these fated mates romances. They had the perfect balance of found family, humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, big feels, and spice.

Firefighter Dragon

Dai is a dragon shifter and a firefighter. Virginia is a human archeologist. When Virginia finds a priceless artifact at a historic site, she is attacked by an evil dragon and trapped in a burning barn. Dai rescues Virginia and immediately recognizes her as his mate. To get to their HEA, Dai will need to help Virginia secure the historic site and protect the artifact while explaining shifters and mates. 4 stars.

Firefighter Pegasus

Chase is a Pegasus shifter and a firefighter. He is impulsive and high energy. Connie is a human pilot. Shellie is steady and controlled. Chase and Connie met three years ago and he knew immediately that she was his mate but a misunderstanding made Connie reject him and flee. They meet again when Connie and her gambling father are in town for a plane race and Chase rescues her from a fire. To get to their HEA, Chase will need to help Connie win the race while protecting her from saboteurs and convince her that he is trustworthy. 4 stars.

Firefighter Griffin

Griff is a shifter and a dispatcher who can no longer be a firefighter. He has an eagle and lion inner animal but they have fought each other his entire life making him unable to shift. Hayley is a human teacher and single mom to 5 yo Danny. Griff and Danny meet when Danny shifts into a lion cub for the first time and a panicked Hayley calls the fire department. To get to their HEA, they’ll need to deal with Griff’s degenerative condition and the reappearance of Danny’s biological father who has been absent his entire life. 4.5 stars.

Firefighter Sea Dragon

John is a sea dragon shifter and a firefighter. He has been on land for two years searching for the missing Pearl Emperor of the sea. Neridia is a highland ecologist. Both of her parents have died and due to her unusual height she’s finding it difficult to find a romantic partner. She meets John in his sea dragon form after a disastrous date and he immediately recognizes her as his mate. A mate he’s not allowed to have. To get to their HEA, John will need to accept the mate bond, convince Neridia of her true heritage and protect her from all threats. 4.5 stars.

The Sea Dragon’s Lion

Reiner is a lion shifter and a single dad. They meet when Jane comes on land with a delegation from Atlantis at the request of the Pearl Empress, who is Jane’s SIL. Unfortunately, despite recognizing each other as mates, there is an immediate misunderstanding because of Reiner’s son. 4 stars.

These well written romances included three dimensional characters who grow and engaging storylines that had me feeling all the things.

Lucy Rivers did a wonderful job narrating the stories and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

lasted about 5 chapters. possibly the worst book I've ever read. juvenile. even after only 5 chapters it was tedious.
