Publisher's Summary

A Dragonling's Haunted Halloween

During one of her many excursions exploring the palace, Cara Truman discovers a vast underground chamber that turns out to be the perfect place for her next invention. Soon, her dream of building the ultimate playground for the dragonlings is a reality.

When Abby laughingly mentions the new playground looks like the perfect place to have a Halloween party, Cara goes into high gear to create the perfect haunted house adventure for the babies. The fun kicks into high gear when the men discover what Cara has been up to and decide to "test" the playground first!

Cara has no idea that her new project would create a sense of panic, wonder, or hilarious consequences in the palace when she unveils it. Discover what happens when another Earth holiday is unveiled, with the help from a couple of mischievous goddesses, the symbiots, and dragonlings in A Dragonling's Haunted Halloween.

Night of the Demented Symbiots

The dragonlings and their besties are excited about the preparations for another Halloween holiday. As the night of the festival draws closer, the dragonlings, Roam, and Alice discover a threat to the newest members of their families: the Queen of the Demented Symbiots plans to send her minions to capture the newest babies and take them to the land of Halloween where she lives. With their parents busy organizing the huge festival for the people of Valdier in an underground cavern, the dragonlings and their friends are left with no choice but to prepare for the ultimate battle - to save Morah, Leo, and Hope from the Queen of the Demented Symbiots.

Join in a holiday adventure that you won't forget as the little ones use their special skills to protect their friends and family in Night of the Demented Symbiots.

Adorable additions to the Series

Best enjoyed if you have read the first 5 books in the Dragons of Valdier series before "A Dragonlings' Haunted Halloween"; and read thru Twin Dragons before "Night of the Demented Symbiots". These 2 books were written in consecutive years, but are combined in this audio for consumer holiday enjoyment. Works for me - Adorable and enjoyable when you're in the mood for a non-horror Halloween experience. Still NOT children's stories;-)

Delightful

As all the dragonlings stories, they very well done. Funny, inventive, and just so much fun to listen to. David Brenin does an excellent job on the narrative of all the books. He makes them come to life. I enjoyed them all.

These stories are hilariously cute!

The earth women are hiding a secret. They are converting the dungeon into a Halloween attraction park. The men are obsessed with finding out what they are doing. They have never heard of Halloween , so Trelon puts a tracker on Cara. When the men sneak out in the middle of the night to explore, they freak out when weird things start to happen. Of course the dragonlings are there and cause more havoc.
Nice novella to add to the many great books about the Valdier!

In the second story, the men are involved in Halloween this year. They are helping the women make a castle with a wicked queen. When the dragonlings overhear, they think a wicked queen is coming to take the babies. The women go on a shopping spree and leave the men in charge of the kids.
Because the dragonlings confuse a story that Cara is telling them with the theme park. They rig up booby traps throughout the nine different areas of the castle to stop the Queen and her minions. The men get to transverse through the traps in order to find the kids before the women return.
This story is hilariously cute!

Oddly creepy

These are 2 separate stories, and they go well together. While it is interesting and fun to hear what the kids are up to, they mostly speak in an annoying lisp. It’s hard to tune it out, but not impossible. The narrator does an excellent job. He seems to laugh some while reading, which I liked, and keeps the children’s voices distinctive (he really shows his talent here). It’s odd to have children using so many “big” words, applying logic at a very adult level, but lisp and be no more than 3 years old.
It’s also very off-putting to go from a children’s conversation straight into a sexual situation of the parents.
The plot itself is good, and the playground is amazing (I want to visit!!), but I think I would have enjoyed it much more if the kids were 8-10, and not toddlers. Also, some buffering between the sex scenes and the children playing would have been appreciated. That would make the story less jarring.
Glad I listened, but won’t re-listen. Once was plenty.

Magical

I love these mini stories.. I love that the woman are bringing their culture and holiday with them and saying it's for the kids but the kids are so young that it kinda go over their heads but the man are like big children and it's fun to see the holiday we celebrate every year through their eyes 👀 I really enjoy this book and I had missed them

Fun as always ;) Lovely... Next, please!

I have been waiting for this stories to come out in audio and I'm not dissapointed ;) I love them! I have received this book with the Romance package and now I bought it, so it remains forever MINE in my Valdier collection ;D

And now, Ms. Smith... where are the original Twin Dragons and the Godess tales? I realize that they will be two independent stories, but please, don't keep us waiting for long...

David Benin dose another great job

The stories are fanciful, while still allowing the dragonlins and friends to grow and expand. There were opportunities in each novella contained to see the couples grow and connect further. There's a glimpse or two of possible future events.

David has been the perfect audio guide for the series. Each character have there own voice and the children sound like children and not adults trying too hard.

There was much to laugh and smile about.

Wonderful having these two books together in one.

Wonderful having these two books together in one audible book. Great listening to these two stories and once again the antics of the grown men had me laughing out loud. There is a little time gap in this series between these two stories, so if you want to listen to the books in correct order you will need to do so. BOOK REVIEWS A DRAGONLINGS HAUNTED HALLOWEEN Book Review I laughed till I nearly wet myself at the antics of the "supposed" grown up men in this book. Cara has built a mini Disney playground under the palace and when Abby laughingly mentions the new playground would be the perfect place to have a Halloween party, Cara goes into super drive and creates a Haunted House adventure for the dragonlings. The fun really starts when the men decide sneak down and test the playground first. Having never been or seen anything like this before they are soon out of their depth. THE NIGHT OF THE DEMENTED SYMBIOTS Book Review Another fun wonderful read in Ms Smiths fantastic world of books. You can read this alone but it is much more enjoyable if you have read this series of books. The dragonlings are one of the most enjoyable reads ever. As a huge fan of this author I read all of her books but these little cuties have my heart. It was lovely to have the twin dragons (Cree and Calo) and Viper play a part in this story as well as their mates and children. Phoenix's future is becoming a huge question mark and where is Akaterina going? I hope Dulce finds his mate soon.
