Publisher's summary

Finding Eden is the continuation and conclusion to Becoming Calder.

When the world as you know it has ended, when all that you love has been washed away, where do you find strength?

When the new world you've stepped into is as isolating as the last, when your heart is broken and your future is unclear, where do you find hope?

Finding Eden is a story of strength, discovery, forgiveness, and undying love. It is about believing in your destiny and following the path that leads to peace.

This is the second part and conclusion in a two-part Sign of Love series inspired by Aquarius (Becoming Calder should be listened to first). Due to strong language and graphic sexual content, this book is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Great sequel

Unlike book 1, book 2 hit the ground running. I didn't have to wait for things to develop because it picked right up from where Becoming Calder ended.

The floods came and it looked like Eden was the only survivor from the compound. She found Shelter with a family whose patriarch was looking to make amends. It's there that Eden began to build her inner strength. She didn't have Calder to depend on, so she had to start living for herself and she did. Eden began to work and make money, she began to learn how the outside world operates and she began to find her own voice.

Three years after she finally started rebuilding her life, she learned that she wasn't the sole survivor but that her love, Calder, made it out alive. Their reunion was bitter sweet because they had both built a life independent of each other. The question now was "Do they fit in each other's life now?"

I really appreciate that this author made sure this book flowed exactly like book 1. I was never in doubt of the Eden and Calder's intentions towards each other. I knew what they had would endure. What I especially loved was the methodical addressing of all the questions and background issues that were presented in book 1. I kept saying "oooh, that's why!" as the past was unfurled in this book. I like that this book addressed past present and future together without confusing the reader. I like that each character found out about their past and made their decisions about who they wanted to be in the future.

Finding Eden was emotional, it was sweet and it was very satisfying. I love Love and I got that in spades here. Mia Sheridan is one of my favorite authors in the genre, rivaling only Colleen Hoover. I have never read a book by here and felt let down. Her books always make me feel hopeful and joyous because Love always wins. This book was full of irony as well. It's was a big train of cause and effect. At the end of this story, I smiled and nodded my head. It was good book and series! The only thing I didn't get was Xander's love story but the fact that I know he got love will have to be enough for me.

I highly recommend Mia Sheridan as one of the best New Adult writers because you will always leave a happy reader.

OUT OF THEIR GRIEF & MYSERY CAME A MIRACLE

Words like breathtaking, intense, unique, powerful, extraordinary and epic just aren't quite enough to described this second part of Calder and Eden's beautiful but bitter-sweet love story. After listening to Becoming Calder I desperately did and nervously didn't want to listen to this second book because I was so frightened of what fate had in store for the two doomed lovers who both thought the other one was dead..... after Acadia.

This two-part series draws you into a world you just couldn't imagine - one of intense joy and heartbreaking pain and, in this second part, Eden finds a home, a job and a saviour called Felix but, after years of friendship, she has to come to terms with the tragic loss of Felix however surprisingly, in the process, she gains her long lost family. I got butterflies and an adrenaline rush when Calder and Eden were finally reunited after three long years in a tender beautiful but untimely reunion. However, their problems were far from over as a girlfriend, an overpowering Mother, the Police, the Paparazzi and the desperate need for answers caused problems, intense reactions and a terrible secret was revealed as Calder finally finds out the shocking truth about his roots and how he ended up in Acadia when he was just 3 years old.

Dual POV's, the narration added warmth, depth and intense feeling to this listen which increased the raw emotion and made the characters even more loveable. You could easily tell apart all the secondary characters voices and mentally picture each scene as it joyfully unfolded revealing heartache, tears, joy, drama, angst, sex and a romance that withstood everything.

Worth a credit? Their love was unconditional and so is my YES.

where do you find your strength; Morning Glory

HOLY BAGEEZ!!! This book was great! Every emotion you have; you will be feeling it! Great follow up to becoming Calder. You can't read this without reading that first. This was a great story about friendships, love & loss and making a life after tragedy.

So original, not what you might think...

Where does Finding Eden rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is just so original. And I wasn't sure I would like it based on the summary, but it was just so enrapturing to see things through these characters eyes. It really made you think while you were buried in this story. It takes awhile for the real live story to really get going but it's worth the wait!

What other book might you compare Finding Eden to and why?

Similar to Archers Voice with its fish out of water storyline.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but I did have a lot of nervous energy for these characters.

Any additional comments?

Cliffhanger warning.

Heavy subject, great writing!

****Spoiler Alert****

This is a story that takes you through a gambit of emotions. Some of the material is very brutal.
I was upset with Caulders journey when it came full circle. I felt his character deserved something better. I kept hoping there would be some twist that would make it untrue.
Jennifer Stark portrayed Eden really well, but Caulder wound up sounding like Howdy Doodie the whole time, and I almost had to switch to the book.
I hoped his voice would deepen and mature as he got older but it never did. Luckily he was written so well that it kept me going. Jennifer could have been the only narrator of this one, she played them both really well. Hopefully Anthony is better at other books.
Mia Sheridan is one of my favorite authors, her writing is fantastic. Always looking for more books from her!

It's an alright story

Auidio version*, listened to both books. definitely not my normal books. I had a hard time getting through the first part of the first book. But if you can get through that and to the end it pulls you in to want to finish the rest of the story in the 2nd book. It turned out to be a sweet story.

Repetitive Repetitive!!!

Boring and Boring; not much going on here. The love story between two leads was overkill. The book was pretty much focus on them talking too each other of their love. No focus to move the story Foward, No excitement or plot twist to keep you want it more. BORING.

Loved it.

I enjoyed this so much after being torn by my feelings about the first book. Calder and Eden overcame all their obstacles and a beautiful love story was created.

Perfection Conclusion to the Series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely - but after they read/listened to Becoming Calder. The uncertainty and unresolved conflict left at the end of Becoming Calder is wrapped up beautifully.

What about Jennifer Stark and Anthony Haden Salerno ’s performance did you like?

Everything! They brought these characters to life in a way that simply reading would not accomplish.
