Publisher's summary

Make your idea irresistible.

You have a terrific idea. It's so powerful that it could change a life, a market, or even the world. There's just one problem: others don't see its power—yet. If you truly value the possibility of your idea, then you're ready to find your Red Thread—the through line that connects your idea to your audience's hearts and minds.

The best part is, the Red Thread already exists. It's the connection that makes the invisible link between your audience's problem and your solution tangible—and actionable. With the Red Thread, you'll inspire audiences to act and get the outcome you're both looking for.

Renowned speaker, consultant, and TEDx idea strategist Tamsen Webster shares the same step-by-step process she's taught to hundreds of clients, helping them deliver memorable presentations, keynotes, marketing campaigns, TED talks, and more. Once you master this process, you'll be able to guide your audience through the maze of ideas and options-and through the maze of their own minds.

I use to suck at marketing

This book helped me identify my audience better than any other book I’ve read, and by doing the steps outlined in the book, by the time you get done you have a marketing strategy. It’s an amazing book, and I will be recommending it too many of my clients

Absolutely stellar!

I love this book. I first read the Kindle edition and then picked up a hard copy to have by my desk. This audiobook version brings even more life to an already fabulous book.

If you're like me, the goal of buying a non-fiction book is to learn something new. I want each book that I read to make me smarter, better, faster. The problem is that too many of them go over well worn territory, or just ramble all over the place. In other cases, you find books rich in great ideas that stop short of distilling those ideas into frameworks or practical applications. The truth is that few books can hit all of the notes *just right*. For every How to Win Friends and Influence People or Atomic Habits, you've got 1,000 forgotten books.

So, where does Find Your Red Thread fit?

Simply put, this book is extraordinary and one that I place in an exclusive category along with essential books like I previously mentioned. This is exactly the kind of book I yearn to read. It's full of thought-provoking ideas and powerful frameworks, making it immediately useful and something you can return to again and again. Since finishing the book, I've been using it as a reference for any and all messaging projects I'm working on from website copy, to keynote presentations, to brand strategies.

In an increasingly noisy world, with everyone shouting for attention, Tamsen has crafted a masterpiece guide for weaving your message into something that can cut through the noise. If you are someone who craves the ability to initiate change and wants to have more success in having your ideas heard and adopted, you must buy this book.

Audiobook isn’t actionable

Great concepts but impractical to implement with the audiobook. I had to buy the paperback - still feel like it’s intellectual not actionable. The accompanying PDF is just a single diagram of a baseball diamond. I thought it would be a workbook. Disappointing.

The book makes you think. Unfortunately, it doesn’t help you do anything.

3/5 stars = 60% grade. It passes, but it doesn’t advance you much.
