Publisher's Summary

The last place Anna Terry expects to fall in love is in the waiting room of her divorce lawyer's office, but that's where she meets Nick Diamond....

Anna's first marriage ended before her pregnancy was over, and her second husband has disappeared, leaving her penniless and with two children. Nick's luck hasn't been any better: his wife has run off with another man, and his business is in chaos. When Anna gets a job as Nick's secretary, what starts as a mild flirtation soon accelerates into overdrive - and then their ex-partners show up....

I just cannot listen anymore!

The narration is just indescribably awful. The voice just does not fit with a young Mum after two marriages. No woman in this day and age is that naive and silly.
The story is bland and boring so maybe the narration is a good fit. My first Carole Matthews book and possibly the only one.
I can’t listen to anymore of it.

Quite twee but enjoyable listening. Ms Matthews seems to find characters with very weak wills and easy to abandon their principles, then again that’s probably the charms of her stories

A good listen

loved it, there was a point in the story that was quite shocking and I was taken aback by it, but altogether a good book.

Awful book.

The main character is a fool. Every decision she made left me wondering how she could do something stupider than the last.

Not a book I got lost in

It took a long time to feel that I was following the story and often relistened to sections as it wasn’t very clear. I like the story line, however, seriously all these events happened in just over one week?? and then they didn’t see each other for 9 months. I think if the events of the week had been spread over a couple of months it would of been more believable. Also an epilogue would have been good. Enjoyed narrator.
