Publisher's summary

The youngest captain in His Majesty's Navy, with a reputation for landing impossible assignments, Lord Ramage is dispatched to the Caribbean islands of Martinique and Diamond Rock. The mission seems humdrum: barricade the French within Fort Royal. But sent to sea in the Juno with a crew grown restless and undisciplined under the prior commmand of a drunk, Ramage realizes his vessel may not be up to battle with the French.

Fantastic

Ramage's Diamond is the ultimate. I've read the entire series and can't put them down. Diamond, in particular, provides a great story and reading. I hope the remaining books become available.

Best Narrator

Best narrator I have heard so far. Better even than Simon Vance. I’m so happy this same guy has done all of the Ramage books.

Another Winning Strategy

Any additional comments?

It is interesting how Pope can use so many different strategies to bring the desired victories for his hero. To me that is one of the most intriguing parts of Pope's Ramage series. Ramage is able to gain these victories with very little loss of life.
