Kick @$$
I could see this book as a movie. I really got into the revenge story. You know what's going to happen, in terms of knowing that the bad guys are going to get what's coming to them, but revenge stories are about savoring how punishment is delivered. Engine doesn't disappoint, and I'd like to see more from Edward Teach. John did a great performing the different characters, and it was a nice touch to actually have a female voice artist doing the female dialog.

Supernatural Mad Max
I found a real gem here. If you like post-apocalyptic stories then this is a must read...or must listen.

Revenge Well Served
Loved the writing by Teach and Martinson's performance was outstanding.
Engine took me back to the movie The Crow (1994) and Mad Max (1979) but there's also a lesser known film called The Wraith (1986) starring Charlie Sheen that's worth mentioning. The Crow features a man bent on revenge. Mad Max is a post apocalyptic action film with awesome car stunts and The Wraith is a revenge film involving a car with a supernatural twist. All those elements were present in Engine but the author really focused on the revenge aspect. There's a lot of gore in this book that will satisfy anyone's blood thirsty revenge fantasy.
I loved this title. If you're in the mood for scumbags getting what's coming to them, then give this shot, it won't disappoint.
