Publisher's summary

Jessica Channing's big-city life should be more exciting than 60-hour work weeks and popcorn nights with her girlfriends. She has worked hard fulfilling her role as a child prodigy and graduating college years before her peers. She's the good girl, the brilliant girl. She is also dateless. Jess's rigid, predictable life upends when she visits a small town to deal with a relative's death. Long-lost memories come crashing down on Jess's world when two men, the Blackard brothers, seem to lure her in. Dylan is cover-model handsome and pursues Jess the minute she comes to town. Then there is tall, dark, and gorgeous Carson, who hides his own secrets behind his hardened reserve.

Jess discovers that she can't have a simple romantic fling, because true passion does indeed come with some very big strings attached. She will have to own up to her own truths about love and face the two extraordinary men - both troubled in their own ways and both determined to have her.

Interesting enough but some low points.

I really had a hard time getting over the brother thing. We could have gotten the point without going to the point of no return. Also I think that you shouldn't wait until the end of the book for the main character to redeem herself. She is given a fortune, loved and worshiped by people who are basically strangers to her and she is constantly whines about her "problems". The supporting characters never really get reciprocated and she treats the perfect man that loves her very poorly. Maybe I missed the understanding of self loathing but how long is this man supposed to love her without getting nothing in return. He works on her house everyday for free does thoughtful things for her showers her with daily compliments and she just sleeps with him and says gotta go haahaa. Anyway I did like the story and the characters I just wished author tweaked a few things that made it more believable. I wanted to like Jess more. Still happy I read it though :) Will probably continue the series.

Get on with it

I felt like the girl was acting just like that... a girl, a kid. Not a woman, I understand she was young but she wasn't 12, she was 21. She kept having the same issues again and again, even the other characters in the book were aggravated with her. I honestly feel like this could have been written with half the amount of words as the author used and it would have been better. Overall I did not like that she slept with the brother she knew was not right for her first then blamed the other brother saying it was his fault because he didn't ask her out. Nope that's not how life works, she decided to sleep with him and that's all on her. The overall story line was ok at best.

A must read.

This book really surprise me. I enjoy this so much I couldn't stop listening to it. Romance, love, friendship and family. With twist and turns. You love it.

not impressed

I would have thought this book was directed at teenagers if it wasn't for the sex.

Fearsome

This was a waste. Story was longer than it should have been. Main character is an aggravating whiny person. She flip flopped way too much on making decisions.

Okay to pass the time

The narrator was difficult to listen to for me. Her voice is a little high and whinny. The storyline was okay at best.
