In Dearest Friends, Pamela Lynne drew complex and interesting characters who joined Darcy and Elizabeth on their road to happily ever after. But, what happened after the end? Did Lydia survive her time at Rosings? Did Jane find fulfillment as Mrs. Bingley? Did Mary and Sebastian adhere to duty or allow their hearts to lead them?

Follow the Fitzwilliams, Bennets, Gardiners, and Darcys through portraits of their lives at two, five, and 10 years after Elizabeth and Darcy's marriage. Their canvas is studded with heartbreaking loss, new beginnings, and, through it all, the indelible bond of family.

Contains scenes suitable for a mature audience.

What a wonderful series! I loved it.
It really pulled at my heart strings. I highly recommend it. Make sure to have at least one box of tissue close by before you start reading. It has so much love, angst, jealousy, loss and understanding.

You need to know this is a sequel because it not only starts after ODC are married, but the personalities are VERY different for several key characters.

If read in sequence it is a very enjoyable follow up.

As before, the narrator has a very sing-song delivery that truly takes some getting used to but if you stick with it the story is worth it.

The “lesser” characters play a bigger role in this tale and it is nice to see the author’s vision, especially for quiet Mary.

Nice Sequel!

What a cleaver variation on P&P. This novel is filled with amazing, thoughtful moments between so many characters, you really get to ride a roller coaster of feelings and emotions with almost every character in the book. I really, really enjoyed the development of the story and the character development. Elizabeth and Darcy were sweet and a little bit sexy - but not too much. I LOVED Mary's story, she is a wonderful character as was Anne. Jane's story was a struggle, I really have a hard time not liking Jane, but the author did a wonderful job of creating a different Jane. The Gardner's were amazing, and Lady Catherine - hysterical.

the story is WELL WORTH the credit as is the follow up story. The narration was a struggle for the first hour or 2 (Richard Fitz-William's voice at the start was CRINGE!!!), the book starts very sing-songy and just a bit off. But by about chapter 4 or 5 it gets better - it's like she settled into the characters. I will say that her voicing of Lady Catherine was one of my favorites.

Great story, narration starts bad, but gets better

It is a great continuation that begins with humorous letters between Richard and his brother. The story is low angst but shows how the lives of Caroline, Jane, and Charles Bingley follow a predictable path. Mary and her viscount go through hard times but get their HEA after years of suppressed desire and duty.

The narrator does an excellent job. If you liked 'Dearest Friends', you'll enjoy this sequel.

Excellent
