From Rob Bell, the New York Times best-selling author of Love Wins

This audiobook is an invitation to see your life in a new way. Because we each have a story we're telling - about who and where we come from, what we've been through, and what it all means - or doesn't mean. These stories we tell can easily feel disjointed and fragmented, like an endless series of events are happening to us without any particular coherence or point. Just, you know, life. But for thousands of years there's been another way of understanding this experience we're all having here, one that goes directly to the heart of those age-old questions: Who are we? And what are we doing here? And what does it all mean?

In this compelling and surprisingly subversive memoir, Rob shows us this ancient wisdom, taking us through his history and the history of the universe to show us something about our histories - how all of it matters, how everything we've been through forms a connected whole, and how it's all been headed somewhere the whole time.

From the farthest reaches of the universe to the smallest cells in our bodies, Rob invites us to see that there's something more going on here, something bringing us together and guiding us into greater and greater wonder and awe at our own existence, showing us how this world we call home is way more dynamic and mysterious and meaningful than we ever realized.

If you've every found yourself thinking, "There's got to be me more than this", this audiobook is for you. Can your life get more fascinating, more meaningful, filled with more and more possibilities surprising you year after year after year? This book says yes. Because everything is spiritual.

Loved it!

Beautiful, smart, encouraging, fun to read. I once believed Rob Bell was some sort of radical heretic but now nothing he says feels “out there” to me…he’s talking about and teaching ideas people have pondered for centuries. He’s showing us how to ask questions and embrace the big-ness of God. How is that heretical? It’s not!
Thank Goddess I left fundamentalism. One of the best decisions of my entire life.

Don’t waste your time

I was really curious about this book but unfortunately Rob Bell proves to be just another ultra liberal left wing nut. I hope he will divorce himself from the label of Christian because his world view is not even close to what Jesus intended for His church. Rob Bell should also decline to narrate his own books as his narration is annoyingly patronizing. It was painful and I could not even finish. Bell is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

An Opening

I'm no stranger to Rob's work this however has to be his finest surely. I found myself in so many of the chapters, shifts not only in perception but more seismic in the avenues of the heart.

Amazing as usual

Rob reads his own work, which is like listening to him give a series of talks. He doesn’t take himself too seriously- and because of his writing style, it doesn’t seem like he is reading. It’s a brilliant encapsulation of many of his ideas- also good for those who have never heard of him (gift worthy).

Don’t miss this story...

Don’t stop reading when it gets hard to swallow. Don’t stop reading when it shatters your way of thinking. Don’t stop reading when you are forced to ask the questions you’ve always had inside and yet kept them there. If you read to the end, I think, you will have to force yourself to allow things to happen within that have been suppressed by what you’ve been taught your whole life...and thus the world just got bigger. Thank you Rob Bell

Hard pass

I don’t even understand the relevance of the title. The entire book is about Bell’s rise to fame. Reads as a narcissistic memoir. Hard to believe that this is the same author as What Is the Bible. Would not recommend.

I am no longer an atheist..

I knew we were not separate.. but it seemed the only way for a god to exist. I understand now, what my cells have known all along, we are god, us, and everything all at once. I look forward to listening to more of Rob Bell’s ideas.
