So much of this book blew mind! I have been studying and reading the Bible for 16 years and feel like this book gave fresh insight into the approach I wish I would have had way back then. God is loving and kind and the more we understand that the better we can live our lives. Thank you for taking the time to write this book.

Beautiful, interesting, powerful book. I have never read anything like this book. Rob Bell is on point! It's transformative to hear such deep profound truths about God, and that these are already in the Bible- that God is inclusive, loving, redeeming.

Excellent intro to Bible for all purposes

For someone who rejected the Bible due to a literalist upbringing that left me empty, I found Rob Bell's book to be an excellent reintroduction. This is not a "Gods word" dogmatic approach to the Bible. Rather, this is a contemporary approach to what humanity was up to during a time when the written word, and the ancient language, all meant something different than the literal interpretation that many religions try to apply to the Bible. I'm a Zen Buddhist Chrstian (if I must be labeled anything) and I really enjoyed Robs perspective and his narrative voice. Well done, Thank you!
