Determined to locate the dog, Michael isn’t thrilled to be saddled with a flighty female insisting on helping, except that Bitsy has a great deal more sense than he expected—and a sharp tongue to match. Still, what’s a scientist to do but continue to pursue an outcome, however unexpected it may be? But chemistry is all about attraction, and this is one formula with some hilariously romantic results.

Pretty good story!

This was a pretty good story—if a bit long. I enjoyed the main couple, and the secondary couple as well.

The author takes her time to develop characters you care about. The plot has twists and lots of humor. Well done!

You had me at grumpy /sunshine!

I really enjoyed this grumpy sunshine/opposites attract story. The narrator did a wonderful job distinguishing between characters consistently and really brought the characters to life.

Only Poodles!!!

I wanted to read this from the first time I saw it on the Good Reads give aways. It’s cute, entertaining, and full of my favorite dog Poodles! Thank you for writing this book!

She, Positive. He, Negative. Together, Electric!

Michael Bromley, Duke of Woriton, is considered eccentric by the Ton. He is interested in science, detests Society events, and is somewhat grumpy. Elizabeth Dockering (Bitsy to her friends is the daughter of Viscount Mardensea. She is charming, loquacious, enjoys Society events, and is very popular. What can these two people have in common? Their dogs are missing. Well, Michael’s aunt’s dog, Lancelot, and Elizabeth’s dog Galahad. Michael begins to loosen up, and he and Elizabeth bicker and snap their way to fun and romance. The villain, an erstwhile suitor, is unpleasant and worse. The story is a romcom centered around the search for their missing poodles. In addition to the romance, there is dognapping(s), mixed up dogs (mistaken identity), a dip in the Serpentine for a duke, romance for a reformed (maybe) thief, and happy endings enough to go around. The narrator does a good job of arrogant aristocratic voices as well as the rookery accent.

I really enjoyed this particularly well written novel

Not only is the book well plotted, the narrator is excellent. Enoch plausibly incorporates number of threads in the plot, from the Evil narcissist, an isolated genius hero and to a very likable heroine. Aspects of the class system enrich the plot as well. Altogether most satisfactory.

It was ok not one of her best ,too much science wish I could have gotten audio from the public library also did not like the narrator.
