Interesting Garbage

What a waste of time. Not only mine but that of the investigator. Wasting untold hours coming up with convoluted personal theories based on conjecture and imagination. Ends with no resolution and frustrating that the investigator does not even imagine the possibility that the crime was just a robbery brought on by Emmons son telling someone else of Emmons great wealth and the possibly of something of great worth hidden behind a painting in his house.
Interesting but frustrating in that the investigator became so obsessed in the minutiae of the the victims life instead of chasing down real leads and real people.

The indulgence of a self described "rogue" investigator.

Framing the Riddle

I loved it! Wonderful narration of compelling and true story. Paul Holes recreates the scene. The whole experience is like watching a movie.

My review is for entire podcast❤️

Just finished and I'm crying my eyes out, my heart aches. what a heartbreaking story, what a beautiful tribute to Emmon! With an episode a day, this also is perfect on so many levels for Pride Month, for the suffering & trauma so many trans people are forced to experience, and for those of us living a lifetime of various mental illnesses, minor to major in expression. As a forensic scientist in my previous life pre-forced medical retirement 4 yrs ago due to both physical & mental, of course I'm a forensic crime nerd. I totally on same reasoning as Paul, in every way, plus they should reopen case with new technology with hair & DNA. Noone will come forward. And last but most of all, my heart hurts as a mother of a son. Magnificently put together - I couldn't miss a second!🙌👏👍💯

Too short!

Just finished all 11 episodes in one sitting. Could not stop listening! very well done, no awful jarring music. I hope both Emmon and Max have found peace

Amazing story!

This was an amazing story told by everyone involved. The fact that all these amazing people spent so much time investigating such a strange case is a testament to the fine police who go above and beyond to solve a murder. Thanks to all!

Loved all 11 episodes

interesting even as an outsider who's never heard of this. The narrator used great tones and kept me from falling into sleep like other podcasts narrated this way. I really felt connected to Emmon theory the narration and how those investigating wrote and the details. I'm not sure why others gave it a poor rating, perhaps they expected a bunch of drama quickly but I really felt it didn't lag at all and I have a short attention span when people drone on and on which I felt this didn't do.

A true mystery and a fascinating life.

The title of this podcast is very apropos. It is a riddle, Emmon's life was a riddle. I was fascinated by the story from start to finish. I came away with my own ideas of what happened to Emmon. I I am sure you will too. I am very curious to know what others think. I am having my husband and various friends give a listen so we can discuss it.
Make sure you give it a try.
