Episode 272: The Villisca Axe Murders Part 2

  • Summary

  • In part two of The Villisca Axe Murders Alaina goes DEEP into the many suspects involved in the case. We’ve got a lot of crazy characters this time around. Turns out Josiah Moore had a mistress who was linked to one of his enemies, there’s also a detective who turns up with nefarious intentions, and finally blame gets shifted to a potential serial killer in the area. And of course to finish things off we’ll get into the haunting of the home which includes a pretty recent life threatening event.

Scared the crap out of me

So it’s close to midnight, kids and husband are asleep in bed. I took a melatonin and was getting ready for bed myself. I decided it was the perfect time to finish the last 20 mins of part 2 of this story. I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and my phone was sitting on the back of my toilet behind me and right towards the end when Alaina is talking about Buck, there is a loud “ping”. Thinking I got a text or notification, I look at my phone only to see no notifications or text. Thanks to Alaina’s fantastic story telling, I’m immediately shitting my pants thinking the “ping” came from inside the house. Barely able to breath, I’m creep walking around the house checking in on my husband and kids and contemplating waking my husband to check all the rooms for an axe murderer. I pulled myself together and realized if someone was in the house, my dogs would be going ballistic. Wanting to play, not to protect, I might add. Damn dogs. Anyways, I replayed the last few mins before I freaked out and realized it came from your end. Super long story short, Alaina, you scared the ever loving crap out of me with this story and that damn “ping”!!! Haha love you girls!!
