He is highly skilled in K–12 education, astronomy, writing, and presenting. He holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland. He has presented for TEDx, hosts his own podcast (Science 360), runs the youtube channel Science 360 – Beyond the Sky, and wrote the 2021 book Beyond the Classroom.
