Really boring

I found this to be painfully boring. It didn't live up to my expectations and i am glad that I didn't have to pay for it.

The suspense

Great series. The suspense was so amazing that I couldn't stop listening. Looking forward to more like this.

Interesting end of the series

The end of this series kind of reminds me of something that you would see from "Scooby Doo" in that the main character spends almost the entire time explaining out everything while the two people actively deny every piece of proof. I think it was actually a pretty good series in all, just takes a little bit of time for it to get going.

Not realistic

I started out thinking this was a story about a real woman. After 3 or 4 episodes, when it got a bit too theatrical, I read the description again and found there was no mention of “true story.”

So, as a work of fiction, it started out okay. The whole podcast idea was interesting, makes it feel more real at the beginning. As a student journalist, Melissa takes logical first steps. But later, when she gets spooked, she behaves too irrationally for a journalist. Really, she should have tried to find out the source of the sounds, and not just “freak out” every time she heard them. Not very good reporting, and out of the character established at the beginning.

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but this reminded me too much of the Blair Witch Project.

Great story, but...

I would have given this story a much higher story rating, however, the timeline, as it applies to Amna's death and Melissa's narrated time of involvement versus her recorded time stamps are not consistent throughout the story

Round characters

One thing I really loved was that the main character was Latina, smart, persistent, and heroic. She was written as a very round character having many dimensions. She was human and very relatable. I really appreciated seeing a Latina character written in this manner as it is rare to find. Thank you.

Disappointing ending

I enjoyed this podcast generally, I found some of the characters didn’t seem particularly true to life but it was a drama and it kind of fitted with what I imagine must have been an American’s idea of an English university. The plot was interesting and there were a lot of twists and turns. It’s just a shame that there wasn’t really any kind of payoff, almost like they’d twisted themselves around so much they couldn’t work out how to end it so they went with a weird half cliff hanger. It was a shame because I had enjoyed it up to the last episode or so.

Odd and unconvincing

This was an interesting concept but the story had inconsistencies. The misuse of US phrases and terminology by the 'English' characters was annoying.

Alright for a freebie

It started off really promising, but just got a bit silly. Seemed more like a teen crime story (the whole interaction with police, lacking real life policy and procedure.. all a bit too easy, not real life), and the ending left me disappointed.
But considering it was free, not too bad.

Refreshing

Actually really enjoyed this series, don't usually go for this type of audio story, there is plenty of opportunity for a follow up and id definitely be listening in.

Ending Spoilt It

I was hooked from episodes 1 - 7, the story had so much potential. Unfortunately the ending was so disappointing, it made me feel as though I’d wasted my time listening at all.

Enjoyable thriller

I listened to all 8 parts through the course of today, a Sunday, while I was doing all sorts of tidying, sorting, filing and general Sunday admin. I loved the way the story gripped from the start. The novel ‘podcast’ format to allow for the many voices. I journeyed with Melissa through the different sides of the story she was investigating.
A really good read (listen)

Suspenful Mystery

This was an interesting mystery. Some good development of the central character. My only complaint was the lack of resolution concerning the voices and this talk of a virus at the end. I guess I just prefer some resolution to these mysteries
