Wish she’d just tell her story

I wonder if all the pretentious pseudo poetry is a defense mechanism of some kind, distancing the author from her terrible experience. It sure distances me from her altogether. I so want to understand her and the mind of her tormentor, but the piles of confused noise and non-linear chunks of info do not make for cogent storytelling. Art doesn’t need to be incomprehensible to be valid. The self indulgence just makes her sound like a narcissist, and the point is lost. Will try to finish this anyway because I’d like to know more about Mr X, but I get why so many listeners have lost patience.
