Episode 13

This is my favorite episode so far. I LOVE all of the Harry Potter books. I own both the audio versions and paperback. So I was really excited that they put them in this episode. I'm also interested in some of the books that they were talking about in this episode.

New Ways to Listen

Story: 3-Stars
************

This episode covers the subject of enjoying titles in a group setting, whether that be with a close friend or family member or via an audiobook club. I have to admit that I have never considered doing something like this (for me, listening is a very private experience), so I have experimented listening along with my wife over the last few days. Results? For me, mixed. For her, a new audiobook convert! This is an interesting topic of choice for the episode for those looking to share their listening experience with others.

A number of titles are suggested (by the editors and via Audible fan input) that may be particularly suited for group listening.

Performance: 3-Stars

The core group of editors is back together for this episode, which is great. Based upon some of the guests that have come on previous editions, it is clear why these ladies have been chosen for the task.

Technically, the amount of heavy breathing into the studio microphone is really distracting. This has been a minor distraction in prior episodes, though in this one it is very apparent, particularly when Kat is speaking. Once you hear it, it is difficult to pretend it isn't there.
