Introduction audiobook

This particular audio book is full of all kinds of exercises to help with meditation (if you have problems quieting your thoughts). Some of them are quite funny, but they worked for me and have worked for everyone else I've introduced them to.

self-help audiobook.

No audio book on meditation does any good, of course, unless you do the meditations themselves. I've never seen any other audio book on meditation, though, where the exercises were so plainly and clearly laid out. Also, the meditation style is radically different from more passive and less effective forms of meditation such as the transcendental variety, and I suspect that is due to the author's background in psychology with its emphasis on "muscular armoring." Essentially, instead of working on your brain first, the "Energized Meditation" in this book seeks to get at the mind/body connection by working on your body. Negative thought manifests itself by creating muscular blocks to the flow of energy in your body, and the exercises in this book help undo those blocks. Thus, the exercises in this audio book are exactly that: exercises. The combination of breathing and movement are extremely simple and easy to follow, yet the effects are so profound that you must experience them to believe them

How to break your mind and rearrange the pieces

This audio book is for people who want to break out of their old habits and thought patterns. It is not a typical self-help audio book in that it does not tell you, "You are fine just the way you are; it's the world that's messed up." In order for you to gain anything from this audio book, you must put it into practice. It is not for everyone. Some people will read this audio book and think it's garbage. Maybe it is, and I've been fooled into thinking it's not. Either way, the author will challenge you and your beliefs. You can decide what to do from there.

New to the Method

It used to treading lightly around one another feelings...we hear too much about self-esteem, so rather than be honest, we become a society of victims.

Best exercise audiobook

It's good. Do the exercises and you'll be more capable of "understanding" the rest of the material. A brief note: From experiments and my research into Reaching breath work, I am under the impression that it is ALWAYS imperative to expand the belly when breathing, not suck it in. There is in this audio book an exercise which instructs you to suck in the belly when inhaling.

great audiobook

I think this audio book communicates some of the same message as GIG though. I really liked this audio book because it changed the way I think, and parts of it are going to be stuck in my head for some time. . I find the meditations to be quite a chore for what I've gotten from them. He also throws in some of his style of Antarctic meditations after you finish the introductory ones (where you flex and hold and release every little part of your body until you start to really hate doing the meditations).

Guided Meditation

As many have said, the meditations alone are what you're paying for here. And they are worth it, provided you actually do them. Doing these meditations daily has been more help to me than reading any self-help audio book ever could be. In fact, just do the freaking meditations and quit better self-help audio book! They'll make you feel better, no joke.

Awesome audio book

The audio book also gives you several dozen ways to defuse your superego/super cop the aspect of you that says "don't do this /do this" which is based entirely by what programs have been pushed into your skull.
