Outstanding writing. Unmatched performance. This would be a fantastic movie or series. Which would never be as good as the books, there is a chance it could be as good. What a thing to be relive to see this on a screen.

what a good ending to such a woefully sad tale I encourage everyone to read or listen to this series it won't disappoint

Didn’t even mind the narrator this time!

But still jumped from hard copy to audio, when he became too much.

Empire of the Dawn wrecked me. The ending stomped on my ribs, lit them on fire, then laughed while I thanked it. This is how you finish a trilogy. No mercy, no softness, no gentle pat on the head. You get dragged through filth, hauled into light, then smashed again for good measure. I felt feral by the last pages.

The middle wandered, sure. I drifted. Then the story sank its claws in again and ripped me forward. The payoff hit like judgment day. Every thread paid out in blood and ruin and triumph twisted into something sharp.

I want this on screen. I want the chaos, the betrayals, the final blow, all of it poured straight into my veins. Jay Kristoff writes like he wants your soul, and at this point, he earned mine.

The voice actors are phenomenal. Such a wonderful story. One of the best trilogy endings I've read in a long time

Exceptional vampire story

I am NOT a vampire story kind of a guy and yet this was a very satisfying story. It took me through just about every emotion possible. I had tears in my eyes at points, felt a burning anger at a characters choices at times, a little embarrassed at some of the wanton sexuality at times. It was all quite masterfully done and kept me wanting more. When an author can draw you in that deeply into his story, you know you are in good hands. Jay Kristoff is very high on my best author list with this set of books being his very best to date for me. This is well worth your time and credit!
