LOVE LOVE this story of Daniel and Nicole

I have always love the stories weaved by Rina Kent and how she connects some of the families and characters from past stories. This one started out with so much angst and bitter dialogue. The anger and level of hate sky rocketed at the beginning….The narration of course, superbly done by the sexy Shane East and Christy Woods, new narrator for me was phenomenal as Nicole. Excellent listen !

Daniel Belongs to Me!

This book was so good. I love Daniel from the earlier books, and his story was epic. The one thing I really like about Rina’s books is that she incorporates every character that she’s ever written somehow in the stories. All of them are connected which makes it so fun because you have favorite characters from other books. She also picks the best narrators. Shane East was perfection, and Christy Woods did a good job as well. She’s actually new to me, but she was great at the female voices. I

I won’t say anymore about this because I don’t want to give anything away, but I know that you have to not only read it, but you have to listen to it. You will not be sorry.

Hate, lust, and second chances

4.5 stars! When Nicole took accepted the job of assistant, she had no idea it was for the man who used to be the object of her secret desires, and her public ridicule when they were younger. And Daniel has never forgiven her for what he perceives as crushing his heart, forever turning him off of blondes. Looking for payback, he’s determined to make her life a nightmare on the job, either forcing her to quit or giving him a reason to fire her. But what neither of them realizes, is that their entire relationship has be a series of misunderstandings and miscommunications. While at times, this can be a bit frustrating, their chemistry and tension keeps things interesting, and knowing that eventually something’s gotta give, it’s that hope that kept me invested in the story. Little by little, truths are revealed, honesty wins out, and they have to move past years of mistrust and heartache to move forward. I ultimately enjoyed this story quite a lot. Daniel was a character is previous books that was definitely not one I expected to like as much as I ended up liking him, which in and of itself makes this a great story.

What a RIDE!! These two are so stubborn. They almost lost out on a good thing sorry Great Thing. You will not be disappointed. If you are a Rina Kent fan then enjoy if you are new to her book this will convince you however, don’t miss out on the entire series! Enjoy the experience

Captivating and Emotional Romance!

I was completely captivated by this steamy, enemies to lovers romance! This is an emotional, and sizzling romance that will take your breath away! Daniel and Nicole have been drawn to each other since their youth. Nicole comes from privilege and was forced to act a certain way. She wanted Daniel, and when it appeared he didn't see her, she would do whatever she could to get his attention, even when it would hurt them both. Daniel didn't want to be attracted to Nicole, and the more he wanted her, the more he pushed her away. Now years later, after they lost touch with each other, Daniel is her new boss. He is intent on making her life miserable, then fire her. Nicole is running from a tragic situation, and needs this job. She is determined do whatever it takes to keep it, even if she has to endure Daniels harsh treatment. But the all consuming attraction they have for each other turns their tense interactions into fiery passion. But there is too many years of secrets, and misunderstandings to overcome. As secrets are revealed, will they be able to trust each other to finally open their hearts, or will they break each other for good? I loved how Kent expertly told this story in past and present sequence, with all it's twists and turns, giving us time to discover who Daniel and Nicole are today and how they got there, allowing us to understand, empathize and cheer for them to heal and have their HEA. My heart broke for what they both went through, and their struggles to move on. I was frustrated with some of their poor decisions, and actions, but I loved how they grew into better people. Nicole's growth and change was especially beautiful, from someone you loathed, to a strong, resilient, caring heroine. Daniel is a ruthless and sexy hero who will make your heart skip a beat.
The narration by Shane East, and Christy Woods was fabulous! They are so perfect as Daniel and Nicole, as they not only build the tension of the story, but the fiery attraction between Daniel and Nicole as well. Their banter was brilliant, and they conveyed the depth and complexity of all their emotions beautifully. I always love East's work, and he did a great job showing Daniel's ruthlessness, conflicting emotions, and delicious dominance. This was my first time listening to Woods and I really enjoyed how she expressed Nicole's determination, thoughtfulness, and fiery passion. I was completely lost in their moving performance.
