Story
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Story
Every year, the empire administers the rite of passage into adulthood. That rite serves to identify those blessed by Aether to become magi. The new magi are shipped to the academy to learn the arts of magic. The academy is a dangerous place; the tournaments held twice each year can cripple or kill the students, and the clans of the empire will go to great lengths to recruit the students they want. Gregory had one dream: to become a magi like the legends of old. Though he was ridiculed by the residents of the village and his unsupportive father, he never wavered from his dream.

Publisher's summary
Audiobook 7 of the best-selling Eden's Gate series!
The Scourge have launched an attack, and the Freelands are overrun with Ergoth’s army of orcs and goblins. Travel is no longer safe, trade is at a standstill, and Edgewood Village is in ruins.
With the guild in desperate need of gold, Gunnar treks through the battle zone to complete an unresolved quest and is faced with a moral dilemma unlike anything he’s ever experienced in Eden’s Gate.
His choices lead him to join forces with some unlikely companions and sends him straight into the heart of the Wastelands.
Orcs would never allow humans to enter the Wastelands freely, so how exactly will he get inside, and what secrets are lurking deep below the Wastelands' surface?
In an unforgiving land filled with bloodthirsty beasts and monsters, Gunnar will be left questioning: Who is the real monster, and who’s the worst monster of them all?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Will refused to admit to the HR lady at Radical Interactive that he'd never played their debut virtual reality MMORPG The Realm. With the company's failed attempt at entering the gaming industry, they switched their sights to focus on smaller scale educational programs. Being a beta tester for Radical Interactive was not the dream job that Will had envisioned, but he had hoped it would get his foot in the door to one day becoming a graphic designer for the company. He never realized that he was literally signing his life away.

Morgan used to be a pretty normal guy. He went to college by day and played online games by night, leading his guild into new conquests - until he got hit by a car and a dude wearing a wet suit appeared in front of him. The man offered him a new chance at life in a world he had created, a world with similar rules to the games Morgan loved to play. There is the promise of great rewards and power, he says, if Morgan manages to complete the Tower of Power.

When freakish storms envelope the Earth, people start disappearing without a trace. Wild theories abound: Is it aliens, spontaneous combustion, or perhaps quantum entanglement? The only ones who might know are those who have vanished. An average group of gamers is setting up to start a new campaign. The storms rage across the world, but they only care about the game they are about to start. Little do they know that they would be next to disappear from the face of the Earth.

When William stumbles through a portal in the middle of Antarctica, he'll suddenly find himself in a world unlike any he's ever known. Now, he's surrounded by monster girls, vicious warlords, and everything in between. Worse, his only weapon is a magical branding iron, which seems to have one skill and one skill only, to overwrite slave brands. Thing is, monster girls seem pretty grateful about being freed from the tyranny of their masters, and with each one he brands, the stronger he becomes.

One day, six towers appear on Earth. Each one stands hundreds of stories tall, and are invulnerable to all attacks. At the base of each tower is a portal, welcoming in all who dare enter it. All sorts of magical monsters can be found inside the towers. Even treasure, magic, and superhuman strength can be acquired. The problem is that the towers aren't a friendly place. Even worse, the towers sometimes release waves of monsters to attack Earth. In the year 2083, there are only a hundred survivors. the world is good concept, story line is good, the side characters are mostly good Aaron is annoying as hell, but the worst is the Mc he is a whiney, self absorbed, MORON, that acts like the world has to be fair and gets pissy when it isn't, and the the romance is lame "I can't decide which elf I love, or do I still want my lost gf".

Good book but Gunner is getting dumber by the day.
Good book, but the main character is such a whiney little idiotic twerp that it almost ruins the book. add in that he's scamming on two NPC elf girls while whining about not being able to find his old girlfriend and constantly making poor decisions and drug use. He is one of the most unlikable main characters i've ever read about.

Disappointing
If there is a situation with a good choice and a bad choice, the main character always makes the bad choice. It will be obvious to the reader every time this happens. The main character is not a good person either, although you can tell the writer thinks he is. He’s selfish, dishonest, and sexist - but the writer probably does not see this. In every book so far I have read the line “a man has needs” or another line of the same intent. It’s creepy and a bit gross. I keep hoping this story will get better because the world and the concept are great, but it doesn’t.

Painfully bad
I love this series at the beginning but it gets worse and worse with every book. And this book is horrible to read and with 11 hours to go I think I’m just not gonna move forward anymore. There is no longer any progression and it is just one bad event after another. The great thing about a littlerpg is that they progress. Not this time…You can literally skip to the pount i am at in this book and have missed nothing

Jeremiah
Throughout the whole book I was only interested in seeing what will happen to Gunnar when the high Elf Queen found out about the baby Orc, other than that the book was boring, the books were great except this one.

Kind of shit compared to the other books.
This book was kind of shit compared to the other books. Also the narrator was totally off on the character.

Painful to listen 2
Terrible, Complete struggle to listen 2. Ruined the MC. Made him too stupid to live. All the sex talk seems written by a college bro.

Awesome book but Pavi..
I wish more than anything that Pavi would have tried to keep the same voice narrative.. sounds like he's got a wicked cold or his nuts dropped hella hard. Either way, AWESOME STORY EDWARD BRODY!!!!

Talk about nerfing the main character
I'm not sure what the author is doing. Ever since Gunnar's class was switched to a mage the author has nerfed him. The first 5 books were pretty good. But, these last two have turned Gunnar into an idiot. He's bogged down so much that it's started getting boring. It's like the author just can't move on to the next part of the story.
Edward Brody should just stop with the romantic / erotic scenes. He's no good at them. And they are just really cringy and don't add anything to the story.
Gunnar's gone from a MC that the story builds around to a MC that's bogged down by the story.
I'm about half way through the book, it's hard to describe, but the book has become a real grind to listen to.

Forcing my way through
Story has so much potential, but it's just a difficult read. hoping this ends with this final book.
update: 4 hours left.......ugh it will NOT be the last book. it is for me I think. This hero sucks.socks.
Okay finally finished ans wow, it just got worse and worse. Definitely made it so I wo t wish to read anymore. What a waste of 7 credit, and the sad thing is it had such potential.
