Story
The night uncovers all we wish not to see. A troubled man enters a dusky park before sunset. A young woman follows, hidden in shadow. Both have returned to the park to take back something the past has stolen from them, to make right six long years of suffering, and to find justice or perhaps redemption - or maybe they'll settle for some old-fashioned revenge. But something evil is alive and awake in those woods, creatures that care nothing for human motivations. They’re driven by their own insatiable need: a ravenous, bottomless hunger.

Story
College professor Stephen Barlow needs cash. Badly. He puts his skepticism aside and signs on to a paranormal research organization in the hopes of scoring a fat bonus. Enter Chaythe Asylum: a long-shuttered and controversial institution where patients were allegedly subjected to unethical experiments. Stephen deems the old building, closed in 1989 after a series of grisly murders, as good a place as any to explore the possibility of the supernatural, and arranges to take a tour with his students. But it turns out that the asylum is not as abandoned as it seems. There is something sinister in the building.

Story
Midnight. Some call it the witching hour. Others call it the devil’s hour. Here in the graveyard, midnight is a very special time. It is a time when ghostly spirits are at their strongest, when the veil between our world and theirs is at its thinnest. Legend has it, that while most of the world is asleep, the lack of prayers allow the spirits to communicate under the cover of darkness, among the headstones, their whispers rustling in the leaves of the old oak trees. But if you’re here in the graveyard, you can tell yourself it’s just the wind....

Story
Lauded for the power of her writing and having attracted an online fan base of millions for her extraordinary spoken-word performances, Olivia Gatwood now weaves together her own coming-of-age with an investigation into our culture’s romanticization of violence against women. At times blistering and riotous, at times soulful and exuberant, Life of the Party explores the boundary between what is real and what is imagined in a life saturated with fear. Gatwood asks, How does a girl grow into a woman in a world racked by violence? Where is the line between perpetrator and victim?

Publisher's Summary
Eater is a screenplay adaptation of Terry M. West's Honger novellas written by the creator of the gory hit series himself. De onheilige honger (the unholy hunger) is a curse passed from a Dutch trapper in 1679. Those given the bite that never heals live forever, remember little of their previous lives, and every season they must partake of human flesh. They must eat. To the bone. They have been called many names. Boeman. Rakshasas. Wendigo. They are the eaters. And they live among us.

Good Screenplay of Honger
I enjoyed the two Honger short stories and this is pretty much a screenplay of the first one. It felt like a remake told in a different light. I tried Terry's other screenplay, Dead Aware, and had a hard time getting past the screenplay style. This one worked quite well since the screenplay aspect was a bit subdued and I had already listened to Honger so I was more aware of what was going on, I felt more comfortable with the style and was able to appreciate the different technique and quite enjoyed it. If you enjoyed Honger, or haven't listened to it yet, you owe it to yourself to check out all three of them.
I have become a big fan of Paul's narration and while I hate to keep comparing this to the original Honger, I think Paul really knocked it out for Eater and did a better job than the team of narrators who voiced Honger I and II. I felt like I heard a different side of Paul's narration and it really enhanced the story for me. I felt closer to the characters than I did previously and I felt like he channeled a darker tone for a more graphic horror and hope to hear more of it from him.

Amazing paranormal screenplay
I have heard and loved both versions of this story but Paul Burt you truly outdid yourself with this version. I loved the different voices they brought a little humor and depth into the story. This screenplay is well written and descriptive with surprising twist and turns. Amazing and entertaining I highly recommend this screenplay and story. I received this book at my request and I am glad I did. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here of my own volition.

Screenplay version of the Honger books
First off let me say the Honger books are great. As readers we always like to say “I’d love to see this as a movie.” So what does that end up looking like? This is a great example. First get the Honger books enjoy them and then get this and see what they’d look like as a movie. It’s really cool to see the process. Enjoy. Great Concept
This is my first screenplay style book, I read on Kindle as I was listening on Audible, i really enjoyed it, very funny at times, with gruesome horror, I recommend, I know it is based on the 2 Honger books, so I will have to read./listen to them next.
The narrating done by Paul Burt was spot on...I received this audiobook from the author and this is my voluntary unbiased review.

This is the first time I listened to a screenplay on Audible. The experience exceeded my expectations. The story was grim and violent like another book I listened to by Terry M. West and the narration by Paul Burt was excellent.
