Publisher's Summary

This lesbian romantic-suspense adventure is slow-burn, fast-action, and high-stakes.

Easy Nevada is a fortune hunter with an eye on a pyramid buried for 2,000 years. She'll do anything to get her hands on its untold riches, if she can just get past the deadly traps that protect them.

Candice Cushing is an archaeologist born in Sudan and raised in Britain who is drawn to the mysterious pyramid that she sees as a piece of her heritage.

Farouq Al-Jabbar doesn't see it as either history or treasure. The zealot has come to destroy anything that smells of blasphemy and anyone who gets in his way.

As the stakes ratchet up amid the burning, shifting sands in this wild adventure, the women fighting for their lives start to wonder if they're really so different after all...and if that cursed pyramid has been buried for a reason.

Contains mature themes.

A fun adventure

Abby Craden did a fabulous job narrating me through this action packed adventure through the a tomb in the Sahara (as I drove through some rural cornfields). Both Easy and Candice are fabulous, strong, intelligent women whose interactions and chemistry kept me laughing and smiling through their death-defying crusades. Great beginning novel of the series and just hit purchase to listen to the next installment.

outstanding book

outstanding book. honestly chose it because Abby Craden narrates it, but i was blown away by the writing. Kaplan created amazing characters, the wit and humor of Nevada is outstanding. i wonder if Kaplan is that witty herself or that creative as a writer. either way I was not disappointed.

A female Indiana Jones

The lead character is a true action hero. What was great about her was no matter what she always had a funny comment about what was going on.
Now I can’t wait to read or listen to the next book

fun and exciting story

i really likes this book. My only hang up was that in the beginning there about 15 seconds where the narrator is clearly narrating but there isn’t any sound. I don’t know what happened there, Continued to do it even after I removed and installed it again. Looming forward to the next book.

non stop fun!

Indiana Jones has nothing on Easy Nevada. This book was fun from cover to cover. You can tell Abby Craden enjoyed reading it as well. She gave every character distinctiveness, while smoothly transitioning between each one, even when there was rapid fire dialog. The only disappointment was how suddenly it came to an end. Cannot wait for the next book!

I am Easy

This is the best action/adventure book I have heard in a long time. Easy's personality is me in real life. She is a Filthy McNasty and funny. I love the interaction between her and Candice. I can't wait for book two and to find out who is the real boss behind the attempts to kill off Easy and now Candice. Abby Craden has once again done a fantastic job narrating this gem. I would recommend this book to anyone and most likely will recommend it.

Splitting a single novel up to charge for more audible books is bad form

Loved the story and the reader but this is an unfinished book. At the very least it should be listed as “part one”. It stops clearly in the middle. A bad practice for readers who routinely buy books 3 times as long for one credit. Buyer beware.

Great book!

This book was funny, thrilling and adventurous! AC was excellent. I can’t imagine anyone else doing this book justice. I excited to listen to the rest of the series.

Exhilarating, not big on substance

I suppose I understand what they were trying to accomplish with this style of story and characters and, to an extent, it really works. Once you're in the story, it's very successful at pulling you right along. A couple of things held me back from being fully immersed in the story though. The bulk of these could/should have been spotted by a sensitivity reader. In short, a number of the representations of different ethnic and other groups kind of made my brain stumble in accepting the story outright. It sort of left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth for the characters that otherwise were very intelligent and witty.

laughs

wasn't expecting the humour, one liners and come backs worthy of James bond and funnily crude often. Indian Jones meets large croft in a fast paced action adventure, very enjoyable, huge fan of abby craden but her London accent often sounds Australian, forgivable x

A silly, enjoyable romp

Very silly, unbelievable, B-movie adventure. But charming and witty by turns.

Slightly dodgy accent by the narrator, but granted there aren't many who could - it's a silly sounding accent at the best of times.

A great adventure story

“Nevada, Easy Nevada. Sometimes very easy.”

This book was such a joy to listen to... the story was fast paced and full of adventure... Abby Craden’s narration was beautiful... oh and the banter!

Cute story but just a terrible performance.

If you make your living as a voice artist it's just a matter of simple professionalism learn to do the accent! Really if you're that bad - just don't bother.

What a cracking adventure!!

Fantastic romp a la Indiana Jones with great chemistry and terrific humour. Abby Craden gets to roll out half a dozen dialects and clearly loves narrating this great read.
I found myself relistening to chapters again and again because the action dialogue and scene setups were so rich and fast paced.
I read that this was one of Abby Cradens fave books to narrate and I can see why!!!!
Loved every second!!!! Bring in the sequel….

Hilarious characters, engaging story!

One of the best stories I've heard in a long while, superb! Love Easy Nevada, she's kick ass, hilarious, hyperactive but also has her moments reflection and realism. And nothing is sacred too her, no topic too precious to poke fun at. Candice is a great contrast to her character, acting as a balance of conscious and naivety to Nevada's understandable cynicism, and I love that Kaplan didn't even consider sacrificing the quality of the story to push forward their growing connection. Kaplan has done what so many authors in the lesfic genre fail to do: she sets the scene, she places her characters in a living, breathing world. The pacing is just right, adding to the adventure and the personalities are unique and break the mould. The story goes well beyond the usual standard and tropes of lesfic, and I wouldn't want to confine her to that genre alone. Kaplan is of a different calibre, entering into true storytelling, and she handles dialogue and entry into action sequences with a level of skill that has been sorely lacking in many titles I've read recently.

Abby Craden as the narrator? Does a top notch job at bringing this story to life in the most fun and hilarious way possible, and navigates all the accents and the fast paced dialogue like an absolute pro. She sounds like she's having a blast and I live for her exaggerated but amazing take on Jacque!

Love, LOVE this book!

A must read

Brilliantly written, hilariously funny.
Lara Croft and Indiana Jones minus the university lecturer.
Kick arse heroine with an assortment of weapons, close combat skills, wit, sass and sex appeal. Part one of hopefully a triology, a must read for those who enjoy a good action adventure with a good dose of witty humour and dripping with sexual tension.
