great story so far.

loving the story so far. I would give this a 5 star if the battles where longer/more descriptive leaning towards a darker vibe. the way the book is currently written i think its a great style for teens and adults. (i just personally wish it was a little darker)

Excellent

As the second installment of this series this book truly delivers. We get more information about the world and new paths to power are opened. Characters continue to grow in both power and personality and the story really takes off. I greatly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.

Outstanding

I love this MC. I like that he actually thinks and has personal growth. Can’t wait for next book.

All of characters are stupid

I can't understand why there are so many plot points that need to be spoon feed to the reader. It's like the author main a character that needs to be explained everything. when the MC found the brood worm he couldn't understand that it's the monster creating the other monsters. It's in the name "brood" so many other instantances where the character is playing a one man dumb show.
The basics of tactics and common sense are lacking in all of the characters. The characters are almost like puppets that have to be told everything. If someone shoots a giant incendiary at you. Of course you move you wouldn't need to be told or instructed. It's basic things like that make this make you question the agency of the characters. No one seems to have a plan they just do what the MC says that's it.

I had to start and stop this book several times because of how bad at times it was. I'm bumping up the rating from 3 to 4 stars because I was able to finish it eventually. I don't know if I'll pick up the next one. hopefully the author gets an editor, or beta readers or something to help him go through the story and iron out dialogue, storyline plotting, character development and working on making the characters less NPC - more player like.

it's a good story with some Nick pics

I love the overall story and the purpose of everything it's awesome in that aspect, what I hate is that the MC seems to be an habitual liar he lies when there is absolutely no reason to lie he still lies the hard part is getting honesty out of him, and also there's a part in the story where for plot armor the side characters get retarded / blind and can't tell what things are that was also a Nick pic but it was stupid and subtracted from my enjoy a little bit, but other than that the story itself is great the characters are great and the book is great very enjoyable I just need Jamie to stop having the need for his reflex response to everything is to lie first and then regret it later make it hard to like him / trust him

Very enjoyable, invested, waiting for book 3!

Didn't take long to invest in the story and characters, stories engaging, characters are believable, and personalities are divers.

The nuggets of unseen characters and future story lines is a plus at each chapter inception. Waiting anxiously for more.
