So good!
High fantasy at its finest. I really enjoy the relationship between Serena and Killian. I like that the angst isnt too horrible, usually, and I like the treachery behind the scenes. The lengths Katya goes to, to secure her place as queen, are outrageous! The narration felt a little slow, but that may just be a personal quirk of the highborn accent she's using. I am really looking forward to more from this storyline, and can't wait to listen to book 3!

5 Dragon's Soul Stars
Ahhh I am so happy I listened to this book, I wanted book 2 soooo badly. It took me a bit to get into the first book but no time at all to get into this one.
I am rooting for Killian and Serena. But there is always someone in the wings plotting and scheming!!
Katia…Killian’s wife, not by choice… I want to hurt her like really badly. I am terrible but she is EVIL!! Why didn’t she just marry Killian’s father if she wanted power I swear.
I love that Serena schemes for good to get Killian out of this situation. Killian is kind of losing himself. And something needs to be done…
I need book Three like NOW!!
I LOVED the narration, again its perfect and the accents are fantastic. I can’t even.. I need more.

Great
I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. A great story overall. The narrator brought the story to life and took away some of my valuable sleep time because I wanted to know what happened next. The things people will do to gain power, keep the peace, and find true love are truly remarkable. The wife needs a time out. She is truly an awful person. The H is trying to do what is best for all but is caught in a trap that he may not be able to get out of.

The story is entertaining and the characters were interesting and likable. The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The tale is a lovely story.
I enjoyed the second book more than the first one. The story continues with dragonfade, Darkfade and humans. With love, schemes and plots the tale twist and weaves.
The tale is a lovely story.
Michelle Rabe tells a fairly clean story with very little sex scenes in it. Only lightly describe. No corse language. There is some violence. I’m looking forward to the next story.
Narration by Karen-Eileen Gordon , I had to speed up a little to 1.25. Otherwise her performance was good. Giving gaps between chapters showing clearly where new chapters began.
Again she brings life to the story. Her accent adds a little something to the story and the characters are all have distinct voices. It is recommended that you listen to the demo.

A wonderful sequel to Dragon's Heart
I loved book one in this series, and was very much looking forward to what happens next. Book two did not disappoint at all, I was almost as obsessed with reading through it as Serena and Killian are with each other, almost.
I found myself annoyed with the characters much more frequently in this book, but that's largely because I was so invested in them and their relationship by this point. And they make a lot of frustrating decisions that make for a more interesting plot line, but understanding it was making a more interesting plot did not at all stop me from yelling out loud at them.
In other words, I was very invested.
I enjoyed getting to learn a lot more about the Dragon Fey, and Serena's development with them. I hope we continue to see more of their culture as the series continues.
Treading on spoilers so I won't say much in this regard, but I also appreciated a lot of the sexual themes and topics Michelle Rabe covers with grace, subtly, and care.
I'm very much looking forward to book 3 and other works by the author.

A great story marred by too much soft romance
While I did enjoy this second book overall, I felt there was too much time spent on mild and innocent romance. The rest of the storyline was good with dark characters, plotting and difficult decisions to be made. I enjoyed the first book more than this one but I am still keen to read on and find out more. Overall this is an enjoyable series.
