Nice story, and decent narration, but the production quality is awful

It’s one of my favorite John Grisham books and the narrator had a pleasant voice. It bugged me that the novel was put together on audible using the old audio cassettes, so there was a lot of repeat sentences.

What was it all about?

So I really got into this book; the story was intriguing with lots of twists and surprises, however I think that the author destroyed the story at the end.

Granted Mr. Grisham may not be a happily ever after writer, but the way he developed Patrick's love interest character was seriously flawed in my opinion. There was no indication throughout the story that she was "off."

If Mr Grisham wanted to end the story of Eva being the traitor then he should have provided some mental dialogue from her giving us poor readers context for why she defected.

Her actions made no sense to me, and frankly diminished what could have been an even greater "complete" story!

The entire reading experience left me frustrated 🤔

I really enjoyed this reading. Kept my attention throughout. The ending was not my favorite, but it was okay.

Worth a listen great story

Needed an epilogue but a terrific story , I would have liked to hear a bit more but enjoyed the twists and turns.

Great book what an ending

Great book. There were a few times where it repeated itself, but that could be attributed to many things. Storyline was great and suspenseful as if I was in the story.

2nd tome to read this. Couldn't remember from one chapter to the next -- until I came to the bitter end. Too bad, so sad.

Would you listen to The Partner again? Why?

Several unexpected twists in this plot, I always enjoy reading/listening to John Grisham fiction. There is no background music, which I am glad about because sometimes they make the background music to loud on TV and I can't hear what the people are saying.

Intriguing

Although not as much thrilling action as I was expecting, the twists and turns and complexities of this plot kept me listening almost non-stop. Even when you think it's over...it's not! It kept surprising me right up until the end.
