It never fails to amaze me how these audiobooks, now a multimillion dollar industry, can roll off the proverbial assembly like without the most basic of copy and pronunciation editing. In this book the stand out was clearly the mispronunciation of Francis Neagley’s surname. It’s an alarm bell of cacophony every time it comes around. Which, her being a pretty main character is quite. damn. often. A fact, indeed, which makes this transgression even MORE egregious than otherwise, if possible.

I would easily go as far as saying that it ruined the listening experience for me. How could it NOT? How could I let my guard down and relax to a narrator who can not pronounce the second most important character name in the series? A name second only to that of the titular hero’s? The answer is quite obvious: I could NOT.

Twists and turns

I love the way you take the story and twist it this way and then turn it that way and then high jump and then deep dive. It’s very exciting to read the book even more than one time. What’s up with Berkeley? Why did he shoot to kill? are his secret orders to kill Reacher? 

Best one yet!

wow! loved it! I cant wait for the next book!! Gasbar is my favorite character

Where did the rest of the story go?

Liked it as far as it went, but just as the story appeared to be winding down, it just abruptly ended. Not sure what the plan is going forward, but one more like that and I'm done! Definitely not a fan of this type of "non-ending."

Next Best Thing to…

… a Jack Reacher book is a Find Jack Reacher book by Diane Capri. Even better when you’ve already read/listened to all of the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child — and there are no new ones to read/listen. You get to see/hear the other side of the story, and get to spend more time with Jack’s supporting characters who feel like long lost friends who’ve been missing from your life. Highly recommended.

Repetitive listing of times, and time zones

The plot of this book is weak. And listening to it one is put off by the constant repeating of times and time zones. This repeating will occur even if no more than five minutes has elapsed and it is the same location. It is an excellent way to lengthen a book.
