this story was told about two life long friends who after some time realized they loved each other. if you like friends to lover stories this book for you

Good

Liked this story and the narration. A little slow at time because not much happens, but I was in the mood for little drama and angst so it the spot. Zach annoyed me at times too - but just a little bit.

Fun Fluffy Fake Fiance

Dominic and Zach are housemates, business partners and best friends since 3rd grade. Their family is led to believe they are engaged to be married. The problem is that Dominic is straight and the two men are only friends. What if they both secretly want the lie to be true?

This is my first time hearing Ms Monroe’s writing. If you choose this book, expect it to be a cute fluffy story that takes zero brain cells to read. Also, expect it to be hot. The dialog was unrealistic but not cringeworthy. Also, the characters asked each other questions they would obviously know the answer to since they live together and are BFFs.

The two narrators voices and speech were alike and meshed well. Mr DiCosimo’s audio sounded a bit like it was recorded in a tin can (needed post production work).

Update: After listening to other great books by this author, I revisited this one. I have to change this from 3 stars to 5. This is because I have changed my mind and this book is now a “comfort read” book I am listening to over and over.

Good story. Good narration.

I picked this audiobook up because it was on sale. I hadn't read anything by Mia Monroe before, and I am really glad I snagged this book.

Dominic and Zach are fun to get to know. Their interactions have that soothing and comfortable feeling that you get from being around people who truly enjoy each other's company.

This was one of the rare times I feel like the author had a firm understanding of demisexuality. It's usually portrayed as 'gay for you' and even more often, just mistaken as that trope. Since I am demisexual, I appreciate it when the author obviously does their research. There were a few moments of over explaining sexuality that didn't entirely feel natural to the story, but I prefer that over inaccurate info. Honestly, I wanted to jump up and say, " yes, that's what it's like!", for a good portion of this book.

Overall a very sweet and enjoyable read with great narration.

I Love Everything About This Book!

This book is everything I wanted and more! Depth of characters, friends to lovers, realistic storyline, no stupid cliché cheating, and exquisite duel narration. Can't wait for more in this series. Highly recommend!

This book...WOW!!! Best friends to lovers is my favorite trope and Mia did this one AMAZINGLY!

I LOVED the Demi awakening and seeing that develop in Dom and him work through his feelings for Zach!

These boys were on fire and it was such a sweet and sexy and beautiful story!

All the side characters were super fun and quirky and I look forward to what Mia has in store for them!

Another book very WELL DONE!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Friends til the end

I love a good Friends to lovers romance and surely this one did Not disappoint!
The sweetness, the caring, the 'let's be sure' of everything as the story rolls along. Everyone is so excepting, as it should be in the real world but sadly is not. This story is perfect. Mia Monroe, you have a soft heart and a sensual way with words. I'm on the hunt for more of your work!
As always, Tim and Liam bring the characters to life in a way the listeners love. I wouldn't have picked better narrators to do this book.

Beautiful story a friends to lovers hit! It was natural and I can see that happening to someone I loved!

This was such a sweet friends to lovers story and Tim Paige and Liam Dicosimo provided such a vulnerability with the characters they performed.
