Frankie
I don’t have to hide behind a mask anymore.
I rule New York, and now all I have to do is finish what I started ten years ago.
To destroy the man who took my life from me.
No one can get in my way.
That is until I am arrested for murder and have my first taste of Detective Zara O’Reilly.
The woman hell bent on ruining my plans.
She thinks I don’t know she’s watching my every move, waiting to drag me back into that prison cell.
She can pretend I’m the enemy all she likes.
In reality, she craves me as much as I do her.
No matter how much we fight it.
My stalker becomes my obsession.
She doesn’t realize the power she holds, not only over me, but the city.
Together we will be unstoppable… if she lets me break her.

*This is the explosive final instalment of the Beneath the Mask Series. All four books can be listened to as a standalone, but are part of an interconnected series.*

Good story, very spicy. Female narration was great as she always is, but male narration did not fit the character. His Italian accent was over the top and sounded like a vampire cartoon character to me. This kinda ruined the spice for me. I would have rather read this one, I think I would have enjoyed it more.

Male narration was disappointing

LOL several times I swear I hear a cat meow. Just got a chuckle out of it.

Great story, great readings.

Am I hearing a cat meow in the background??

This final installment in the Beneath the Mask series is the strongest of them all, and I wouldn't change a single moment. Through love, betrayal, and loss, Frankie and Zara's worlds collide, forcing them to choose where their loyalties truly lie. Zara's father is the source of several buried secrets that spark chaos and shatter more than one heart along the way.

The chemistry between Frankie and Zara is undeniable. Revenge pulls them together, passion keeps them hooked, and ultimately, love conquers all. Just be sure to check the TW's before diving in, and I can't recommend the audiobook enough, it was definitely the way to read this one!

A powerful series finale!

The way the story ended was everything I could've wanted, but I almost DNFed on the way there. Antonio sounded like The Count from Sesame Street and THAT was awkward 😬 the last few chapters saved this book for me and I adore Zara! I love Frankie too I just didn't feel like Frankie was even in this book. This is definitely better read than listened to. I'm super stoked to start the next series!

Seriously, read this one with your eyes

I absolutely love the Beneath The Mask Series. Detained is one of the best books of the series too. Keller will always have my heart but Frankie is right up there with him. Zara is so smart and strong which I truly appreciate in a FMC. Luna knows how to write a great FMC that can hold her own but doesn’t overtake the MMC. It’s a perfect balance.

I believe that Angelina Rocca does a wonderful job portraying Zara in the audiobook. I think she probably does all the accents the best honestly. She has a great voice that keeps my attention. I love the emotion she puts into the reading when it’s needed. She’s not monotone but yet is soothing. I think she was a great choice for the part.

I was okay with Frankie’s portrayal but it wasn’t everything I hoped it would be. It just wasn’t how I pictured/heard Frankie in my head. I might just be picky though. It's not a bad portrayal so I don't feel like it will effect you listening to it.

I especially love this series and these books. Now I have the audiobooks too. You will love Zara and Frankie's story so don't miss out.

I love this book!
