Boring

This book was so boring and story line was terrible. I loved the Kate Burkholder books but this was horrible.

Terrible narrator

Could not tolerate the narrator or get past chapter 1. Unfortunate because really enjoy the authors Amish stories

Disappointed

The story line had potential, but the narrator was horrible. Too slow, overly dramatic and breathy. I couldn't finish.

Just no

I love Linda Castillo and have purchased all of her other books. But I just could not get through this. I couldn’t get beyond the first few chapters and then returned.

Meh.

Way over dramatic. Too much explaining of the drama. Almost embarrassing to listen to. Disappointed.

Narrator was a bit too histrionic for my taste.

Generally have like Linda Castillo in the past. I was unable to get past the narrator.

Not Linda Castillo's best

This book was a huge disappointment I love all of the Burkholder books. This book does not measure up to the author's previous books. The plot is ridiculous, the reader is awful and annoying. Overall, this was a waste of money.

Surprised

I have read many Linda Castillo books. I usually like them. I am not sure if it was the narration or what but the tone and speech seemed on the verge of hysteria much of the time. It became irritating after a while. I realize that this was a book where you were on the edge of of your seat much of the time but it was overdone. I am from the south so possibly the “southern” accent seemed a little much.

Terrible Narration

I love Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder series! That being said, I truly don't believe that Linda Castillo actually wrote this book. It is about 5 hours way too long. A lot of the story is redundant, same ole line over and over again. But by far the most annoying part of this audible book is the narrator. Oh my goodness, I really got tired of listening to her different voices. Ann Marie Lee made it really hard to finish listening to this book. I feel like I should of stopped listening when I figured out who did it, but made myself continue listening. I kept looking to see how much time was left, as I said it is way to long!

Loys of twists and turns Great writer! Makes me feel like an right there in the story. This one is an excellent work of this talented writer
