Publisher's summary

Penny Wright faces the ghost of a serial killer in this unpauseable paranormal thriller.

She's the one he's been waiting for.

Demler Mansion has seen its share of darkness. In 1995, serial killer Edmund Demler set a fire there, ending his own life. A quarter-century later, urban explorers break into the old ruin. They find a once-grand house now falling into decay - blackened walls, broken furniture, echoes that sound like voices.

Then something far more terrifying finds them.

After this latest tragedy, medium Penny Wright arrives to investigate. She’s now part of a team of para-sensitives - sent by the mysterious Mercury Group - charged with ridding Demler Mansion of its haunting. From her first moments inside the house, Penny suspects that the spirit of Edmund Demler has never left.

But the ghost is watching her, too. Luring her closer. Waiting for his moment to strike.

And once he claims her, Demler has no intention of ever letting Penny go.

Note to listeners: This suspenseful paranormal thriller can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Great book.

This was a good book and a good serious and contrary to a lot of negative reviews of the narrator who is also the author I think she did a good job. I am tired of these whiners complaining about the narration. Just read the book yourself if you don't like it what the narrator is reading or how the narrator is reading. I'm just grateful that there are people that take time out to read these books. I am legally blind and I've listened to audio books ever since I was a kid but back. Then they called them talking books which were on sixteen r p m's. So I'll tell you leave the narrator alone if you don't like her then read the book yourself. Too many cry babies out there.

Stick to what you're good at...

I'D MUCH RATHER BE READING THIS BOOK THAN LISTENING TO IT. It's a GREAT story BUT the narrator (who is also the author) has NO business narrating anything. She literally sounds like you're listening to "Alexa". She sounds JUST like a robot. It's so disappointing that I spent $$$ on this... then I realized she's narrated her other books and received terrible reviews on those as well. PLEASE, if you are considering listening to this book, LISTEN TO A SAMPLE FIRST. I'm just baffled with disappointment. Moral of the story... stick to what you're good at & LISTEN to criticism from others about your ability (inability) to narrate. That is all, I want my money back.
