I waited for the audio. And it was like someone took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears... and at the same time, somebody else is hitting my soul in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer... and then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bone. (Iykyk)
Once again, Lee Daniels and Joe Arden were phenomenal. Lee Daniels got me like, having feels I haven't felt in a long time.

When I finished Under Your Scars, I had stayed up until 3am to finish and then I just stared at the wall because I didn't know what to do. Now, I'm like, sitting here all flustered with feelings and my cat jumped on my lap because I think he can tell I'm upset. I wish I was a crier because I'd probably feel better.

The bunny. That was the one. And pancakes. Jesus the heart in my chest cracked in pieces and it hurts. Physically hurts.

I'm glad this book is out there. It is a sense of peace and closure. But it also proves that the pain never goes away and the heart doesn't really heal.

I needed this ending.

Under your scars broke me, and helped me push through my own struggles. She deserved a happy ending, they all did, but I needed this so much.

Closure

I’m glad Caroline ends up okay. This story has demolished a giant void in my soul but this was a nice closing on Caroline. The legacy carries on 🖤

I just finished reading Delilah after a few days trying to recover from Under Your Scars (I still haven’t lol).

First, thank you for sharing your vulnerability. I can sense the pain from your reality in your fiction.

Second, I wanted to share how angry I was after I read UYS. Not because of the story itself, but at how much it reminded me of my past and how much guilt I carry.
Had I taken my own life, I would have never met the love of my life and experience all the things Caroline never did with her parents. . .Prom, college graduation, my wedding, the pain and beauty that comes with change.

I found my own Garrett. The last few days have been rough on me mentally since it dug up some dark memories. But he’s patient with me and is dedicated despite how hard things are.

I love him and the life we’ve made with our two dogs, who we consider our children.

I regret almost going through with it, but I don’t regret where it’s taken me.

Whatever pain I went through has brought me to this day. I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Anyways, thank you for sharing your art. I hope you find your own pancakes ❤️”

Closure

This novella gives a little bit of closure to the first book. I wish it were longer but a little bit of closure is there for Caroline.
