Publisher's summary

Looking to become an expert deer hunter? What I aim for in this book is to help keep you from sounding like an idiot when you go hunting for your first time and to keep you from shooting yourself in the foot or your neighbor in his backside. Hopefully, after listening to this, you'll also be able to best pick the people you want to hunt with and the ones you want to avoid being around while they have guns. Maybe you're wondering if hunting deer is right for you, and if that's the case in the next chapter I want to talk a little about the sport and some other aspects of it. Learn how to hunt like a pro and shoot like a sniper! Also, you'll discover...

  • How to track deer effectively
  • Packing tips to save you time and energy
  • How to be a better shooter
  • And much more!

Ok book - not very deep though

Didn't go in depth enough to really learn anything, just lightly skimmed all of the topics regarding deer hunting. A more in depth description of deer behavior, tracking, and stand positioning would have been nice.

This book feels like it was written by a hunting enthusiast, not an expert.

Not a fan of the narrator's voice either...

worst book on deer hunting ever.

I listened to the whole book, and was irritated by it for the latter 80% or better. The reader was terrible, lacking any cadence, and emphasizing various words in a bizzare manner. the actual writing was also an insult to the reader and the entire genre. At least 3 tomes per chapter the author tells the reader to get online and do research about your local hunting areas. Why would I pay for a book that simply tells me to do an online search? And as a passing note, the authors attempts at humor were among the lamest and most annoying jokes and puns ever written, not conversational, instructive, or eve having any point whatsoever. Steer clear!

Not worth the listen

If you’ve taken a hunter safety course you’ll likely learn nothing new from this book. Find a better listen

Don’t waste your money or time

I have been hunting in the Midwest my entire life, and I can honestly say that the author of this book has no idea what they’re talking about. The section where he talks about cleaning your rifle three times then shoot it once then clean it twice then shoot three times….. I think it is irresponsible to write a book like this for beginners and then filling the book with nonsense and fairytales.
