He may be a Confederate turned-bounty-hunter with a predilection for trouble, but Lou Prophet knows you never overstay your welcome in a town that wants you dead. Now, all because a young fool with a lousy poker hand couldn’t hold his temper, Prophet has a bloodthirsty posse aiming to pump him full of lead for murdering the son of prominent cattleman Gerard Loomis.

Unfortunately, before he has the chance to hightail it out of the Dakota Badlands, Prophet is shot and left for dead. Saved by a woman rancher named Layla Carr, who hides him out at her ranch, Prophet realizes he must find a way to finish this fight before Loomis finds a way to even the score....

Performed by Bradley Smith, James Konicek, Tia Shearer, Andy Brownstein, Kimberly Gilbert, Tim Getman, Danny Gavigan, David Jourdan, Zeke Alton, Gary Telles, Mort Shelby, Thomas Penny, Drew Kopas, Jeff Allin, Brian Hemmingsen, Matthew Schleigh, Matthew Bassett, Michael John Casey, Steven Carpenter, Ken Jackson, Colleen Delany, Nora Achrati, Elizabeth Jernigan, Nanette Savard.

This is a five star book. Lou shoots a young kid in a poker game in a little town. His rich father Loomis is a cattle rancher and always gets what he wants. He is dead set to kill Lou Prophet for killing his son even though it was self defense. Lou has to fight off Loomis and his whole crew of gunfighters. There is a lot of action and a good story line. This book and series is worth buying. In my opinion. There are several narrators. They also do a great job. I highly recommend this book.
