Great Read

Deadly Resentment was another great read by Kayla Michelle. There is another murder on Cape Cod and Chloe Cook is looking into who the killer is. There are many suspects including one of Chloe's good friends. Chloe must find out who the killer is in order to clear her friends name. I can't wait to read more by Kayla Michelle.

A good clean Cozy Mystery

This is a clean short mysterywhere her friend is being accused of murder. Chloe starts her huntto find the murdered. it is a book in the Chloe Cook Cozy Mystery Series, and they luckily for us all follow the same theme. The characters are believable and interesting. There are many suspects who could be guilty without alibis. She has to find the murderer to clear her friends name. The narration draws you in and keeps you wanting more. It is a fast, book so you can relax and enjoy a book in the afternoon or evening. Or not feel bad and start your day with it while doing housework. this book leaves you wanting more.

Enjoyable continuation of the series....

Deadly Resentment carries on the Chloe Cook cozy mystery series. Each book in the series follows the same format - we meet the despised victim right before death, the police accuse one of Chloe’s friends of the crime, and Chloe jumps in to find the right killer. However, despite the similarity, the author keeps each story fresh and interesting with completely different motives, methods, and personalities. Once again, I couldn’t guess the guilty party until the big reveal.

Begley does a good job with the narration. Her voice is light and fun, and she differentiates well between the characters.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Deadly Resentment

This was a good ,short cozy mystery. If you don't want to have to think too much, this book is for you.Chloes bff is making her big break on stage.Life soon takes a turn in the same direction and Chloe is left to figure out who murdered one of the theater gang.Renee Dorian Begley is a good narrator though I do think she needs to look up words she may not know. They were quite obvious, especially in the beginning of the book.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Theatre Can Be Deadly

When her best friend is accused of the murder of a local low-life, Chloe swings into action to find the real killer, much to the chagrin of the local police.
This is a well plotted mystery with plenty of likely though mostly unlikable suspects and heroine who is fun to follow through her investigations.
The audio version has a few bad edits (repeated lines) but the book is very well read.
At 2.5 hrs, it's a perfect read for a lazy afternoon or a quick trip out of town.

Fun and Cozy!

I really enjoyed this listen by Kayla Michelle. Cozy mysteries to me are refreshing listens that are short and typically solved by someone outside the police. Renee Dorian Begley did a great performance with this book. I enjoyed the story with all of its coincidences and how it was solved. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I would listen to more by this author and narrator in the future.

Cute Cozy Mystery aka Reunions can be Deadly

I received a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

I very much enjoyed this brief, but intriguing cozy mystery,. Chloe Cook is a cute character with a seeming knack for finding trouble, or perhaps is someone that trouble loves to follow, I'm unclear here but who cares. I have not listened to, nor read, the first book in this series, but I shall do so now, sweet and short is great for holidays, or for the treadmill which is where I listened to this one.

Renee narrates this marvellously, she entirely suits the character of Chloe.

I loved Chloe, and her dog Rufus, I have an image of them both bouncing around Cape Cod finding clues and confounding Detectives.
