One dimensional narration

I love a good murder mystery; especially when its difficult to put all the pieces together. Unfortunately the narration irritated me so much that it was hard to continue. She reads as though always whispering and fails to represent characters with unique voices.

loved this book !!! great story great ending. I highly recommend it. surprise ending that was awesome.

Very interesting and enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book, however, I felt the heroine was made week by the narrator’s performance. She seemed to me to be almost whispering the story. The character is a strong one and needs a strong voice to represent her. I see that a new narrator is assigned in book 3 and I may just skip over book 2. I really enjoyed this character.

This book was definitely not on my favorite list
for several reasons! I will admit that the two main characters were like able most of the time, but Amazon listed this completely under the wrong category, so that was misleading & disappointing! The language, and other crude content could and should have been totally mellowed out! A good author totally DOES NOT need to use all the crudeness, sex, language, etc! Just a clue to the authors out there who think it’s necessary: We, the readers/listeners do have our own brain cells and imaginations!!! So GET A CLUE! When you authors go to these ridiculous lengths, it shows us that YOU, are the ones who aren’t using your imaginations in your writing!
Personally, this will be the one and only book by this author I will ever read/listen to! The narrator was mediocre unfortunately! I say that because she was a bit flat, and the voices sounded so similar! Maybe she’s just new at narrating!

Not recommended.

Not a fan of the narrator’s whispery phonation rather than a clear tone to her voice. She also carefully enunciates every word for the listener, which slows down the natural pace and flow of the story. The story itself is just okay, very basic and uncomplicated, with nothing new or exciting to offer the reader. Not recommended.

Great First Audiobook!

This is my first audiobook I ever got and I love it. I was worried I'd have a hard time remembering it but it was quite easy. Captivating as well.

I enjoyed the storyline, but the narration seemed a bit slow, so I'm not really sure about this one.

great story, poor reader

the reader was very hard for an individual to get into the story her voice was too breathy and there was no change in the voice for the different characters which is always at least a little bit wanted

Story versus narrator

Story was decent and moved at a good pace. Narrator’s speech and cadence was so annoying I had to force myself to finish it.

Good, but...

I love this author. The story was pretty good, but I did not care for the narrator's voice/delivery. It was too "fake".
